I have stayed at the Hotel a number of times and enjoyed playing in the Casino countless times over the last 10 year's.
The Restaurants are all very good.
Ceenoku (Snack Bar) has a lot of different options for a quick bite and they have special's like stew n frybread. I really like the Philly Cheese and their Indian Taco's.
Red Willow has a fabulous alfredo you can add a chicken or fish to. The menu is small but everything they make is quite delicious. This is more high end dinner foods like steak and lobster. For the price you won't be disappointed on the flavor's or portions.
The Sports Book restaurant has regular fare for those who like hamburgers, chicken strips n pizza. I had the bacon blue burger and could only eat half. You get a great bang for your buck.
The Hotel rooms are clean and quite comfortable. Pretty sound proof so you won't hear a lot of outside noise. Laundry is on 1st floor, 4 washers n dryers. $2 a wash, $.25 to dry. Water pressure in showers isn't the best and some fixtures like tubs are showing some age. But all in all the rooms are up to date and quite nice with AC that works well. The lobby coffee machine and ice (ice machines on each floor work) are not tended to regularly and this last time was down all together. No breakfast or coupon's for breakfast are given as an perk. They do have some free play, $ off Red Willow (the priciest restaurant), and a 10% discount at the Gift Shop for those staying in Hotel.
Gift Shop has a small selection of Native made items and other regular souvenir type stuff. They also sell tobacco products. Customer service is an issue. Employee's seem rather unwelcoming and bothered by customer's. No greeting or offer of assistance.
The Casino as a whole can be fun but.. some issues are, Customer service could be quite a bit better. General mood and atmosphere is apathetic and employee's are regularly seen not attending duties but visiting with fellow employee's or customer's. Over the course of 2 days I was offered a beverage only once. Cleanliness could be improved, no longer see machine's being disinfected. Broken machines are a real issue, broken buttons etc. panhandling is a problem, was asked for $ 3x one evening.
I do enjoy coming here to stay and gamble. The food is quite good and we always have a...
Read moreThis is a great hotel and casino. I stayed here from the 10th-12th of June and had a very good time. They are kid friendly too which is rare to find in a hotel/casino combo.
The room was very nice. It has a flat screen tv that is wall mounted with the swivel option. So you can pull the tv off the wall and turn it to face the beds, couch, wherever you happen to be. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows were great! They also give you alot of pillows which is very nice. There is a couch and chair in the room that has a little half wall separating the beds from couch area. The bathroom was also nice. The showerhead is a real shower head not one of those cheap hotel kind. It is a very nice room and you will be greatly satisfied if you stayed there.
Onto the food. The food is great we ate at both the Red Willow and the Cee Nokuu’ Café (ja-nuh-coo). The cafe is good for a quick bite or something cheap. We ate breakfast at the cafe and it was GREAT! The Red Willow lunch could be better. However; dinner at Red Willow was FANTASTIC! We spent $60 dollars and got steak, lobster, cheesecake and chocolate moose, and a kids meal. Soda is free in the casino so no need to get drinks. It was definitely GRADE A! I was very very satisfied with the dinner. We got ours to go and took it back to our room since we had our toddler with us. Definitely a great dinner.
The hotel staff was very nice and helpfull. Any time we needed anything they were more then willing to help us. They also gave us a real crib instead of a playpen which was a very nice change from most hotels that have playpens and my son can flip himself out of.
There are pictures of the hotel that I took and also the room. We were not allowed to take pictures of the casino for obvious reasons. I also have pictures of the food from the Red Willow but because the cafe is connected to the casino I didnt want to take pictures and risk the security of the...
Read moreThis casino is an absolutely awesome place to spend a day or two. Great food. fantastic selection of slots, and one of the very BEST host I have encountered in my 60 years. (ASK FOR CARLINO LOPEZ) Very nice guy, super professional, The hosts in Vegas could learn a thing or two from Carlino. He will make sure your experience is Top Notch. As far as the Gaming. Yesterday, on a day trip I won 24 hand pays totalling over $53,000.00 dollars and last Wednesday I went home with $20,000.00 in winnings on 16+ hand pays. This is gaming at its best. I have watched Cowboy Slots on Utube and his videos show both Shoshone rose and Wind River. I think he works for Rose so he's a little bias but you can see the Wind River Casino on a couple of his videos. My opinion is there's NO comparison. Wind River outdoss Rose by leaps and bounds. Remember to ask for Carlino and he will take care of you. The food in the restaurants is TOP Notch and as I live in Wyoming I have only had a need to stay in the hotel a couple times. On those occasions I was very satisfied. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They do have pet allowed rooms as well, so if your traveling with a lil family member he or she will have a place to stay as well. Here's a couple recommendations on slots for you. Mighty cash. It is a medium volitility multi denominational game that can have very good pays and frequent bonus features. Pinball. One of the most popular slots ever made. This is the older machine with a pinball pay on one single line pinball icon. Bets up to $20 denom. and low volatility so more frequent feature hits. Dragon link high risk high reward fun game. When it's hot it pays cold, well you know, No Smoking so it's a comfortable environment for ALL. If your a smoker there's locations close to the entrance. Friendly staff just a great little casino. If your anywhere near Riverton you should stop in and check the Wind...
