Had I reviewed this hotel based on my experience checking in, it would have been poor. However, my room was very nice and my experience with all hotel staff after check in was very pleasant. The day before I arrived, I called to confirm my reservation. A woman answered the phone and confirmed my reservation for six nights but was very curt and seemed annoyed that I disturbed her with my call. After flying cross county on three flights from Florida to Casper, Wyoming, I had to drive two hours from Casper to the hotel in Riverton. I arrived at 4:00 p.m. central time which is the check in time posted at hotel. I told the woman at the front desk I was checking in and she asked my name. She was very curt and I recognized her voice from my phone call the day before. She said my room was not ready. I asked when it would be. She said she had no idea because they only had two girls to clean 70 rooms. I said I had just traveled from Florida starting at 4:30 am eastern time and needed a room. She said no king rooms were available. I said I do not need a king room, just a room consistent with my reservation made over a month earlier and confirmed by phone. She started looking at the computer and snapped give me your credit card. She then gave me a room with two queen beds. The room was very nice. Her demeanor was cold, surly and she acted like she did not want to be there. Once settled in, realized there was very little toilet tissue in the room. I went down to the front desk the next morning not knowing how my request for an essential item would be met. In total contrast, the young lady working the front desk was effusively friendly and helpful. I had to leave a day early because of a change in my flights back and the same young lady graciously helped me and a gentleman behind the counter was extremely nice. I would stay at the hotel again but hope not to have to deal with the cold, annoyed woman who worked the front desk on the...
Read moreStayed in a nice one bedroom suite for only $140. Just as nice as a Marriott or Hilton hotel suite. Joined the rewards club and got 10% off. Great room. Got take out from the hotel restaurant. It was good. Except for the person at the casino rewards desk most of the people I dealt with acted like they did not want to be there.||||Read that most of the employees are members of the tribe.||||Do not get it. They should be happy people stop there and spend money there||||Really out in the middle of nowhere but a good stop between South Dakota and Utah.||||Gets an average because you have to walk into the casino and then walk about 50 yards to check in at the hotel. I think it is a virus thing because the hotel entrance was closed. You also have to wear masks inside which is fine with me.||Also, no beer or wine sold or allowed. Don't get it, they have a big tobacco store but no beer or wine allowed. ||||Casino was tight as far as winning but as I always tell my wife. It is a casino. Do not...
Read moreWe stayed at the Wind River Casino Hotel on June 28, 2021. The stay here was one of the best that we have ever had at a casino hotel. The price of the room was excellent; a great value. The room was large; the bathroom toiletries were very nice; and the variety of K-cup coffees and teas were a nice touch. The room seemed to be very clean. We played on the slots for maybe a couple of hours. The machines didn't just take and take our money, like most do at different casinos. We were able to really enjoy the games. And, in the end, we walked away with money! Enough to pay for our gas for a few more days of our trip. The staff was VERY serious about the cleanliness of the casino. Someone was cleaning machines the whole time we were there. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. And, we had a wonderful time in the casino. If we didn't live so far away, we would be repeat...
