We had a family vacation at Oak Beach Resort last August and we are renting again this summer! We had the best time and this may be an annual thing for as long as we can do it. The owner, Brenda, is very attentive to any needs, but also gives you the privacy to enjoy your family time. We need that since we don’t all get to be together at once too many times through the year. My husband and son had to work a little bit and Brenda was so generous to let us use a cabin that wasn’t being rented for that purpose. The shallow, clean beach, and the fun toys she has made it perfect for our two granddaughters, age 3 and 5. We met a great family with kids their age staying at the same time, so it was awesome for playtime when they needed it. Our kids rented paddle boards and we had the pontoon for some time exploring. There are pedal boats and other things to play with out in the water. The lake was never super busy with boat traffic, which I really liked. The 2 cabins we rented were perfect for our family. They are clean and had everything we needed - you just need to bring your own linens. I highly recommend this place, especially if you have young children, but also could see it as a great place for...
Read moreExactly what I expected and more! Rustic lakefront cabin. Little Beach area, play area and 2 docks made for an excellent stay. Owner is very friendly and not intrusive at all. She is proud of her facility, and a neat person. Great communication and down to earth. Other individuals at the resort were great too. There was a family reunion there, and that was no issue with our stay. Expectations were clear, info on the fridge and place was clean. Even when the geese came and made some messes by our door, they got it cleaned up. Highly recommended!! Be sure to bring your sheets and towels. Which we were aware of before hand and had no issues....
Read moreMy family and I stay here every September. It's right on the water with a lot of water and land activities. Carpet ball is probably the favorite and we have a tournament each year. Volleyball, basketball, ping-pong table, multiple fire pits, beautiful waterfront. There seemed to be less everyday essentials there this time. We had to buy toilet paper and I think we went without paper towels so the kitchen got a bit messy. You have to bring your own sheets and bedding so that's something...
