Nottingham Bar — Restaurant in Lake Township

Work crew came up for the weekend to have a good time and celebrate our hard work and dedication to our company. Some of our coworkers are Mexican and apparently that pissed of the very rude lady that was the bartender that night because she wouldn’t serve them because they didn’t speak English. We could have easily translated for her but instead of trying to resolve the situation she chose to bring race into the conversation. We come in with our wallets out and valid IDs and you turn them away because they didn’t speak English and we were planning on spending a good amount of $ there because we had about 15 coworkers but 3 of them were Mexican and the bartender refused to serve them because of their race. Never in my life have i experienced something so rude and unprofessional before. I have family that lives up here so I come up pretty frequently and I will make sure to never come to this establishment again. You’re much better off spending your money somewhere else unless you want to deal with racism and and the attitude of the bartender. Where I come from we welcome people with arms wide open no matter your race or religion but this place is only accepting if you’re white. Prices for drinks are good. Bartenders are on top of service. And the vibe is comfortable. BUT... A $3.00 service charge for running a credit card??? Are you serious? Is that the price to rent these card machines nowadays or are you skimming? The bar down the road charges a dollar and change. What happened to a $0.25 service charge? Even that is stupid. I'm paying you more money to pay you. Not only that, but I Have to spend $10.00 to use the card. Are you really going to charge me 30% on a $10.00 bill? I am so irritated right now. I was here for my first time on may2nd 2024 it is a great place and the people are great too. The drink prices are outstanding. Just wish they served some kind of food. Instead of just chips.
