This is the best hotel in town. Overall the amenities provided are quite good, which include a pool, hot tub, heated and air conditioned rooms, comfortable beds, continental breakfast, onsite laundromat, and fitness center.
Staff overall is very nice and helpful. I have had an instance or two where I had to ask twice to get something corrected, but generally I don't have issues.
Be aware during hockey season (winter months) that this place is completely booked on weekends, so book early if you can.
Pool and hot tub area is very nice.
Some rooms are nicer and appear cleaner than others. There are some maintenance and cleanliness issues with this hotel, which I'll post some pics of one of the rooms I've stayed in a couple times now and the issues haven't been fixed for months now. Don't get me wrong, generally this is a clean hotel and fairly well maintained, just pointing out there are a few fine details I think they could and should address.
If you stay multiple days and they tidy up your room, they don't appear to vacuum each time, which I think...
Read moreHad a weekend get away to this lovely hotel. Very warm and comfortable atmosphere. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and larger than the pictures showed which was an added bonus. We had a room with a fireplace and a jacuzzi which was an amazing addition and we thoroughly enjoyed using both! Breakfast was amazing! Lots of variety and very good for a continental breakfast. Overall, the building does seem a bit older, there was a few cracks and surface touch ups that could be done but that’s all aesthetic. It was quite warm on the second floor but I think with the time of year (April) it can still be hot or cold so hard to keep a comfortable temperature as well the AC cover was still on but we decided to open the window to cool us down. Overall: Great time and great experience - staff was friendly and was always attentive to providing what we needed - even when I had to call the desk at 3am because an alarm went off in the town for the local fire volunteers and gave reassurance when I was in a little bit...
Read moreThe staff is wonderful. Warm and welcoming. The value, however? For $100+ a night I would at least expect the bathroom to be clean. There was a dark ring around the tub. The showerhead squeeked so badly that it was impossible to relax. There were huge dust bunnies gathered on the ceiling vent and dirt caked in the corners. They put us at the top of the center stairwell and we heard every conversation of every person coming up and down the stairs all night. The TV stations in our room were for some reason different than those in the other rooms and we had no access to PBS (first world problems, I know, but you try entertaining a toddler and a preschooler in a hotel room with no appropriate viewing content). Overall, if I were to stay in Roseau again I would be exploring...
