Norland Inn & Suites — Hotel in Roseau

Brutal place to stay if your trying to get some rest. There was 3 hockey teams staying there and the parents had NO CONTROL of the players or themselves. The parents were partying in the breakfast/party room. Alcohol was involved. Some of the parents were playing hide and seek with the kids in the hallways, running up and down them, both floors. The door to the secure pool area was compromised by being tied open with towels, Luckily no toddlers walked in there and drowned!

Management has rules against all these things a.d they are in a protective cover in each room, but they chose not to enforce them. As the Day manager told my wife Roseau is a hockey town and that's how they make they money catering to the go key teams. They don't really care about the rest of the guests. The hot tub wasn't hot, and not much for jet action. The room shower was ok unless someone else decided to shower, there you lost blah your pressure. The free drinks and meals are only Monday through Thursday. Me and my wife won't ever stay here again. Oh and I was a Hockey player, Hockey coach, and Hockey dad to 2 boys. But we always kept the players in line so they wouldn't bother other people. Sadly that's not how the kid's or the adults...

The manager has no business being a manager of a hotel. She is RUDE, HATEFUL, and does NOT care about the guest. We are in a room that has not been remodeled. The mattresses are so broken down that the springs constantly poke you in the back. The water pressure in the shower is non existent. The view from our window is a mobile home park. And I could go on and on.

After being here for 3 days, this awful manager knocks at our door wanting us to pay $20 per day per dog. We were told we were in a room that has not been remodeled since we did have dogs. Keep in mind, this is supposed to be a pet friendly hotel. MY HUSBAND AND 3 YEAR OLD CHILD SPENT 2 HOURS PICKING UP DOG POOP ON OUR FIRST DAY HERE AND WERE TOLD BY OTHER GUEST THAT LIVE IN THIS HOTEL (with dogs)THAT THE MANAGER DID NOT CARE AND WAS ONLY HERE FOR A PAYCHECK.

My husband's company is paying for this hotel. Worst experience with a hotel in my 44 years of existence. All other employees here have been great, but the manager needs a new profession NOT dealing with the public. Possibly the laundry room?

Loved it here! We were here for work and the girls here made us feel welcome and were very friendly and helpful. It’s just ways away from major stores and shopping. Beautiful country and every employee here are Fantastic and have become like family. Breakfast served 7 days a week and soup and breadsticks served Monday thru Thursday eves. Gen Manager Julie was a gem and so helpful when needed. I can’t say anything bad about this quaint little hotel. Our experience in Roseau wasn’t the best but staying here made up for the ugliness we encountered. We will stay again in the future when we come for a visit. Arrived as a stranger left as family. I’ll say it again, it was very clean, well kept up even tho there was some construction going on we were taken care of . They knew our schedule and helped so we could sleep during day and not be bothered. Very accommodating and we miss all you girls and a few guys. lol. It’s a very small town with only a BK, Dairy Queen and subway for fast food. But the quint little bars and restaurants have good food especially if you want good pizza go to Legends bar and grill on the square. Best...
