This hotel gets 4.1 stars on Google, and I frankly don't know how. My first less than positive experience was being told at check-in that they couldn't waive the safe fee when I asked what the extra fees line on my bill was for. Fine, I figured I'd ask again at check out. More on that later. (By the way, I despise safe fees! They are nothing more than an attempt by a hotel to nickel and dime their customers who don't pay attention or don't care about the few extra dollars.)||When I got to my room, which faces south and is on an exterior corridor along with all of the rooms, I entered to find out the air conditioner was off. Now this was a very hot, sunny day, so as you might imagine, the room felt like an oven. Thankfully, the air conditioner worked quickly. But when it's that hot out, I'd expect more from a hotel that gets 4.1 stars on Google.||I will say, my room was fine, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, etc. These reasons prevent me from lowering my score more.||Fast forward to Monday morning after a two-night stay. I went to the lobby for breakfast at 7:20 AM, and it was locked. So, forget breakfast. I came back around 8 AM to check out. Thankfully, the lobby was open then. But, there was no one behind the counter to discuss the safe fee with, so I had to drop my key off and go. (To make matters worse, I can print receipts off for every other Wyndham hotel I've stayed at this summer. I booked this room through Wyndham's website like the rest, and am unable to print the reservation.)||But, before I left, I needed a small container of ice. I went down the rather dingy corridor the ice machine is located in, pressed the ice button, and it went through all the noises and motions short of providing me with a single cube of ice. No ice. No one at the front desk to discuss that with. Overall, rather frustrating.||There was also a point on Sunday afternoon I was talking on the phone, and noticed someone I'm pretty sure who works at the hotel peer underneath my curtain into my room. I could be wrong and it actually wasn't one of the owners or workers, but it looked like someone I had seen on property working. That was kind of weird, and I would rather not have people looking in my room, whether they work there or not. There was no knock first, just a guy looking into my window. If it wasn't an employee or worker, I realize the hotel doesn't have much control over that, but it was weird nonetheless.||What I have control over, though, is where I stay during future visits. I'd be somewhat hesitant to stay here again. If they refund the safe fee, I would consider. I can deal with many of the other issues, and for the price, it is a decent room. But I have a problem with hotels charging nickel and dime fees above and beyond the number I was given when I made my reservation, and then not having staff on hand at check out to be able to have those fees removed, especially when I ask about it at check in, when it should have been removed immediately.||So, in summary, I'd say it's a decent place with questionable management. I hope they will consider changing their safe fee practices, as that along with having someone at the front desk at check out (and being open for breakfast) would go a long way in earning my...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place seriously deserves no stars at all. I travel pretty often and stay at various hotels/motels. This place by far is the worst. When I got there I was not greeted at all, 8 had to tell the front desk guy I was checking in. After he was done he slide the door keys to me and sat back down. It was my first time there so how would I know where my room is. I asked where the room was and he said up and there then here. I am very big on customer service and especially because I used to work at a hotel but this was just horrible. When I arrived I didn't expect much because of what I paid for but this was just outrageous. When I got to the room, right as I opened the door the front desk guy waved at me and told me wrong room. He slowly walked up and said did I want smoking or non-smoking. I said non-smoking, he walks and smells the room then says ok and leaves with the doors wide open. As I got in the room I like to usually expect the room. There were 3 lights lamps and only one was working. There were holes everywhere and carpet was torn. The tv and refrigerator didn't work at all. I turned on the shower and it over flowed as if it was clogged. The ice machine wasn't working and the parking was horrible. There were big cockroaches everywhere. They also had an outdoor pool that I was very much looking forward to but both gates had locks. Why advertise that you have a swimming pool but yet restrict it. I was furious because it was a big hot in San Antonio. I did call the front desk and asked if these things can be fixed or moved to a room where these things wouldn't be a problem. They said they would take care of it but nothing every happened and I did call and complained every day.(I was there for three nights and four days). But most of all, my room was never cleaned. I was always in and out of my room (mostly out doing things) but every time I came back to my room it was never cleaned. My sheets were still the was I left it, nothing refilled. I called the front desk and they said someone will get to it. One night I got back to my room and my toilet seat was up but room was not cleaned at all. Might keep in mind that I am a female, I have no reason to have the toilet seat up as I was in the hotel alone. It seemed as if someone went in my room but I didn't understand because nothing was done. Overall, this is by far the worst ever. I dnt know if it was because it's a franchise or not but Days Inn company should not allow this place to carry the name. I've stayed at a Days Inn before and this is by far the worst experience in my life. I will do every effort to call and complain...
ย ย ย Read more๐ ๐ ๐๐ To whoever wants to go stay at this hotel, think it OVER & OVER AGAIN... I travel for vacation a few times a year and I can clearly say this is the WORST OF THE WORST hotel, never in my life seen a place so dirty and selling so bad. I called in advance to check if they were pet friendly as I had my dog with me, the front desk guy told me yes tjey were and it will be a $25 fee for my pet each day and the nigth would be $179 and he said if I wanted the room I shpuld send my card info in a text message so I can be charge. REALLY, a text message ?? so I told him I will call back after talking to the rest of the group, after not finding anything else that would be pet friendly I was going with this hotel so I called back and another person got my call and he tells me a whole different price: $109 p/nigth and $20 pet fee for the whole stay, so we were; ok sounds way better. When we got there we were attended from the first guy we apoye on the phone, he was very rude and changed the pet fee to be 40 per nigth!!! ๐ a total of $80 more so I said no thank you, but being the only choice at 12:30 at nigth my husband decided we should stay, so he went back and talked to the guy he ended up charging $450 ๐ฒ for 3 days, but that wasn't everything, the real problem came once we got to the room, THE SMELL WAS TERRIBLE, THE CARPET WAS HUMID SO IT GOT MY SOCKS WET, THE WORST CAME WHEN WE USED THE RESTROOM, IT WAS ALL BLACK WATER IN IT AND ONCE WE FLUSH IT IT OVERFLOODED AND ALL THE WATER CAME OUT AND GOT ALL THE FLOOR WET AND OF COURSE THE CARPET, then we understood why the humid smell, this wasn't a just that day problem. I called the front desk for help and ask for a different room as it was going to be imposible to be walking over water and to be sleeping with the bad smell that came after the carpet got wet again, they refuse to give us another room. So I went ask for my refund even I didn't have much options for pet friendly hotel. The guy there kept $50 for the 2 hrs we were there and said to wait 7 bussines day for whatever we paid in the card so it could get back in it. And he was trying to acuse us saying we made the toilet overflow, really? Your carpet was wet since we came in, son it means you had this problem before..!!๐ The funny thing is that when we sign for the refund it said $350 but the guy only gave us $300 back since he kept the $50 fee, ok thats fine but why the papper said $350 refund?? Funny huu?? ๐จ Definetly not going back NEVER, if I were to este this hotel and service it would...
