My friend and I traveled into the San Antonio area to see an artist play at Cowboys. We had a good time at the concert overall but only because we enjoy the band that was playing. We sat in VIP upstairs during the concert. The staff was less than friendly and at the end we went to pay our tab only to find they charged us for 5 drinks we did not drink. We drank beer all night and there were bourbon and coke charges on our tab. Naturally I go to the bartender and explained the error and request that these drinks we taken off our tab. The bartender then told me she would get her manger, which I was fine with. A few minutes later no one came, I asked politely again and the next thing I know security is asking my friend and I to leave! I didnāt understand why as I was waiting to talk to a manager. Once we walked down stairs, annoyed I asked again to speak to a manger. The next thing I know security is physically trying to push my friend and I out the door! I could not believe it. A man who said he was a manger started to yell at my friend and verbally assault her. It was then I realized the manger was drunk and not in the right state of mind at all to be running a bar. I noticed multiple fights while we were there and itās not shocking at all given the fact that their staff drinks and is not competent enough to run a bar. Iāve worked in bars and you cannot have staff that is drunk treating patrons the way Cowboys did. Itās a shame for the artist playing at these venues as I wonāt return to see any shows there now. Our money was taken and itās sad the bar cares more about stealing money from people over good clean customer service. I would not recommend this bar/...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLadies, real cowgirls, do not go here if you wear something that covers everything a city girl thinks a real cowboy needs to see to get a good man's attention. You be very disappointed. You'll stand there all night shaking your head at the "street walkers in boots" smile and dance with the "urban cowboys" knowing that those girls can't mend elk fence, work cattle, or put in a long backbreaking 14 hour day of laying 12 inch gated flood irrigation pipe for as far as the valley will let you see in Wyoming and missing real cowboy that wouldn't have given them a second look. And DJ that screamed "Welcome to Texas B**" to the outside speakers as I was walking to my vehicle, that is plated in Nebraska, thank you. But since I didn't have a way to reply I just wanted to let you know I actually spent the first like 5 years of my life here in Fort Hood, Texas. My family and I traveled to Germany for 3 years after Texas,Louisiana, I finishedā high school and a few year of college in Michigan, some southern states, then Wyoming in 2007, Nebraska for the last year or so ish, then made a big loop. You would have known all this if you would have no judged me on my clothes, boots, hat, skin color, where you thought I was from or about. But thank you from the bottom of all of us real cowgirls and cowboys hearts for having packed like this to keep those city folk where they belong. And to the one couple I could find that didn't look like they were going to a Vegas Rhinestone Rodeo and being respectful of this woman and she had enough confidence to not show her goods, thank you for recommending some better places in Austin. š...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this place for event like the low low car shows. Which was bomb š£. Amanda Perez š, Gorilla š¦ Zoe, and Dj Laz were headliners for this event! They each put on great shows! They have so many vendors, a couple completions, and lots of cars to look at. For this event the inside had so many different kinds of booths set up. Areas to meet and greet the artist performing, people selling products (clothes, chamoy, bags, and candy), and booths with professional barbers š which i made sure to take advantage of (youāll see below). *Ill add the information to the shop once I find the card. I like that itās upstairs and downstairs. I love the dim lighting throughout. There is plenty of areas to order drinks although they have a limited variety at times. The entrance part I donāt like everything was unorganized. People didnāt know where to get in, and started cutting lines to get in. Iām sure it could create an issue so heads up get there early. Iām sure if you normally can bring in bags, but for this even there was no sign posted so after waiting in two different lines and about to get in I was furious when I was told I couldnāt enter with my small backpack as were others. So a sign would be appreciated for people in advance. They have a mechanical bull but Iām sure itās only available during regular dancehall hours. The stage is big, and can be seen from any spot your at inside the dancehall. Itās clean, and spacious! They have paved parking, and additional parking in the grass area. Looking forward to further...
