Home2 Suites by Hilton Sanford — Hotel in Sanford

Brand new hotel. Our room was clean and spotless (nobody had probably used it yet, since the hotel has only been opened a week or so). Room was also very high tech and well stocked. ONLY DOWNSIDE, and BIG DOWNSIDE is the hotel allows pets. Had an incident the next morning at breakfast, when an older couple had their little dog down in the lobby. It peed in the floor right next to us in front of a group of that was chatting with the couple. Right adjacent to the breakfast nook where food is being prepared! The lady with the dog proceeded to apologize and say 'I'm sorry she tinkled' and then walked off! She did not notify staff, she did not go looking for something to clean it up with, she just apologized and went off to their room. The group that was already down at breakfast looked horrified but didn't know what to do. We went to notify staff, who put a wet floor sign down. I hate that a brand new hotel is going to get ruined so quickly because of negligent pet owners. The elevators also smelled of wet dog on the 2nd day. I was somewhat disgusted and turned off by this hotel. Also breakfast was not that good. Not too many choices.

Our recent stay at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Sanford, NC, exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and attention to detail.

The spacious rooms were a standout feature—modern, well-equipped, and impeccably clean. It felt more like a home away from home, offering plenty of room to relax after a long day. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchenette was a great convenience for our family.

Our kids loved the indoor pool, which was pristine and perfect for unwinding. The hotel also offered a laundry facility, which made longer stays much more convenient, and the outdoor grill area was a delightful bonus for enjoying a casual evening meal.

The free breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. Everything was fresh and well-stocked, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences.

The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay. It’s clear that this hotel prioritizes guest satisfaction.

I'm one of those people who always sleeps with a box fan - partly for the white noise. Somehow, I forgot my fan on this trip. I asked at the front desk if they might have a fan I could borrow. Hannah, who was working the front desk said that, unfortunately , they didn't have one. The manager, I think his name was Michael, was standing at the desk and overheard my question. He told me he would look into it and see what they could do. A couple minutes later, he came back and told me he had someone heading out to pick up a fan and it would be waiting for me at the desk when I got back to the hotel. When I got back there was. in fact, a fan waiting for me. And not just one fan; they weren't sure if I wanted a big fan or a small one so they got one of each!! On top of that, the room was very nice and spacious. The kitchenette had an apartment sized fridge, a microwave and a dishwasher (they even provide dishes and utensils for your restaurant leftovers). The bathroom had a shower with a glass door instead of a curtain. And a really nice touch was a curtain that you could pull to separate the bed from the sitting area. We have family that live in Sanford and this will be our new go-to hotel...
