Beachwood Villa by Rivard — Hotel in Santa Rosa Beach

We acquired our condo through Airbnb. The complex is very well maintained and the condo had everything needed. Clean. Well kept. Responsive owners. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. There are 2 pools, a double tennis court, corn hole and shuffle board available. Nothing for small children. Closet playground is about 25 minutes. Just beach (read below), mid to high range food, and mostly high end retail stores. ||Our real issue is beach access. There are several within walking distance. The closest one across the street from the gas station is not as convenient as we thought. ||The boardwalk to the beach is easy but has steps at the beach end. It opens up to the PRIVATE beach. We had to walk several hundred feet to the public part which wasn't very wide. They are in the process of building a new handicap boardwalk that will open up to the public part but it isn't even close to completion. ||The Bramble Cove access has a handicap accessible boardwalk that twists and turns. It opens up to the public beach. Worth the walk. It also has limited parking. It has a wider area available. ||So beach access is not the issue. The private beaches at those boardwalks are the issue. Depending on the time of day and season, they have staff to politely scoot you along. |Early morning and late afternoon weren't a problem for us. But once the staff began setting up chairs and umbrellas we had to move along. ||Nice place. Beautiful shoreline & clean. Life guards on duty. Very high end. Pretty pricey. Also has a county-wide curfew from 10pm to 7 am, so it's quiet. |It was nice to visit but we will choose a different location for our next vacation. ||Multimillion-dollar homes with private beaches standing between regular rentals and the beach are not for us. |Grayton Beach is nice and where the locals go for...

Great location, convenient beach access across the street, need that bed at home..lol. Need to update pics.. different in person. Very cozy....
