Ok so where do I begin... this review is for anybody who maybe new to Bloomsburg or relocating to Bloomsburg or there for business or family or travel anything let me tell you my story. My son and I will be relocating to Bloomsburg this up-and-coming August I stayed at this hotel for two nights so I can do business visit schools Apartments Etc. From the moment I got there the front desk staff was phenomenal I had a preference for stand up showers versus a step in tub I was not given any Kickback I was shown several rooms until I liked the room I want to choose there was no attitude at all pure kindness and they were patient until I decided. If you know anything about Bloomsburg there are not that many African American people there but I like Bloomsburg no one has ever made me feel any kind of way people stared at us sure but I didn't feel out of way the hotel staff was very accommodating I never felt like I was sticking out or they didn't want to talk to me every time I walk past the desk my son and I it was good morning good afternoon how are you doing how are you enjoying your stay could we do anything to help. And this goes for the front desk staff the manager he came over to us my son and I I was doing research on the computer in the lobby and I was telling him that we are relocating to Bloomsburg I like their school system he began talking to me telling me about the town where he grew up how they're happy to have us he gave us a few pointers of school districts areas and he even said if I ever need anything let him know because he is from the town very welcoming people. Now let's get to the rooms we had a king suite the room itself was very clean. I don't have a complaint the beds were so soft we slept in so much I forgot I was there for business the shower was beautiful I chose the glass shower that you step into the handicap room I did not want a tub very roomy the TVs we're so clear I don't know what type of Internet service they use but it was so clear and another cool thing they have Netflix setup on their TV so if you have a Netflix or Hulu account you can just use your password that you already have because they provide you with internet at the hotel and you can watch movies all night long so awesome my son and I had a blast popular blast I told them every time I come back in town I am coming to stay there and I will be back because I'm relocating there that is go to hotel until I pick my place to stay. If you're African-American and you're going to Bloomsburg and you worried about how many other African-Americans are there there are not that many but if you go to Walmart you will see a lot but even though I did not see that many I was not treated wrong or different my son and I had a blast really this place gives a...

We booked a king bed for one night. When we arrived, after 10:00pm, we were given a handicapped king room. The front desk was busy so I asked them to call our room. Michelle called us and I told her my husband was 6’4” and couldn’t possibly fit in the handicapped shower. She said she was sorry but the hotel was sold out and unfortunately we “drew the short straw”. I asked for a new room in the morning to shower and she told me the cleaning staff didn’t start until nine so “what did we expect her to do.” Now, it was late and we had driven for 10 hours so we decided to go to bed and I hoped I wouldn’t feel as offended in the morning. When we had breakfast, we told the front desk who apologized for the horrible word choice chosen by Michelle. I stated her words were very offensive and implied handicapped people drew short straws? Is that really the message Marriott wants to put forth? My daughter has diabetes, technically a juvenile disability. Is her straw shorter than mine, yours, anyones? Would I want her to feel that way or think that because of someone else’s careless words?
In addition to these terrible words, that next morning the girl at the front desk brought us a key to a room so we could shower. Upon entering the room, it was immediately obvious that the room was occupied as there was a person in the room. It was horribly humiliating and embarrassing. Again, we were apologized to. At that point we decided to make do and just leave. The manager at the hotel never effort to see us or do anything about it. The girl then gave us some Marriott points, which while marginally nice, what does 1,000 points do after such a terrible experience and such horribly...
We live in Bloomsburg but lost our water due to our well pump breaking. We stayed the night at this location. They gave us $10 off for the night which was very nice. We picked this hotel because we have stayed before (we get a room and let the kids swim for a night randomly through the winter). The room was very clean but we weren't exactly happy about the lady working the front desk. We ordered pizza for dinner and my husband met the delivery guy in the lobby for pick up. There are tables and chairs all around the pool. We assumed we could just eat there and let the kids swim. We were wrong. The woman working the front desk told us no food or drinks around the pool. We have eaten by it before and left it the way we found it. We found no signs indicating that. The only thing prohibited on the sign was glass bottles. The manner in which she spoke to my husband was a bit rude. The hotel wasn't busy either. No one else came to use the pool while we were there. We have a family time share with Marriott so we know we are in fact allowed to have lunch or dinner by their pools. We were pretty disappointed to say the least. We expect more from the Marriott and its employees. Even if "no food" was allowed i feel an exception could have been made. The hotel was near empty. Thats what used to set Marriott apart from the other hotels. Might I add, we chose this hotel because we normally have an exceptional stay with Marriott even though we could have chose a less expensive one in the area. OUR heating system in our room would not stop running either. It made for a hot...
