I was Very disappointed in our stay here, my Wife and I booked a 10 day visit here, paid in advance, and ended up leaving after 5 days. I try to be objective especially when it concerns a person small business, so this is just the facts and you decide if this is a place you want to visit. First, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, no matter what site you book when you make your reservation, THEY WILL PUT YOU WHERE THEY WANT WHEN YOU GET THERE. That is their policy, you do not reserve a site, even if they give you a site number. I made reservations for site 96 from Dec28 to Jan1, then was to move to site 99 until the 8th. This was in a nice quiet part of the property, near the pool with good room on both sides. I called the day before coming down from SC just to confirm and was told my site was 415, I asked why was I moved and was told there are no reservations for sites, just dates. I have been to hundreds of campgrounds all over the US and have never experienced this. And as it turns out, site 415 was directly next to the bathroom/shower/laundryroom. As I was a day away from travel I asked if I could be moved, was told no, I asked well how far is the site from the bathroom? I was told it's not bad, pretty far away. Well as the pics show, it was in fact less than 48 inches away from the bathroom, not exactly ideal but they had me over a barrel, it was either deal with it or cancel my trip. So all day every day and all night you could hear people going to the bathroom, doing their laundry, showering, chatting, etc etc. It was terrible, and worse of all was the overwhelmingly awful sewer smell, from either the bathroom vents which were inches away, or from the the swampy muddy ground, probably both. After the first few days we were miserable and left as soon as we could get out.

Issue number two is the mud, this campground is literally at or below the water table of the Indian River. The ground seems to be constantly damp and wet. HOWEVER, what really made this worse was the day after we arrived, campground employees brought in a tractor, dug a large hole right in front of the bathroom, put a sump pump in it to drain all the water away from THAT area to put gravel down, and subsequently pumped all that muddy water directly ONTO MY SITE. Literally all day they pumped water onto my parking spot, making it a huge mud puddle and soaking the grassy area all around, so that when I pulled into my parking spot it was now a mud pit, complete with that swampy smell on my truck, my shoes, etc. The next day one of the employees came up to me and said, "Yeah that's awful, we had to get the water away from the bathroom, but don't worry, we will come take care of you but not til sometime next year, hahaha" Well we left on the 3rd and they never came to put any gravel on our site, we had to walk thru mud and water just to get into the truck every single day, these pics were taken the day I left when it had 5 days to dry up.

So end of the day this place is terrible. The camp sites are ridiculously close, you are literally crammed together, the ground is muddy and damp, it smells all the time, and the owners just don't seem to care. I gave them the opportunity after I left to refund my money for the days I wasn't using, and they said ''We'll let you know', which is a no. I knew they would not refund my money, but I wanted to give them to chance to do the right thing. All they had to do was refund my money for days I wasn't going to use and I would have called it a day and moved on. They chose not to, which shows me how they simply don't value their customers. Caveat emptor, stay...

My husband and I stayed at this campground on Dec. 29th. 2017 .When we entered and registered with reservations we were told that we would be escorted to our site and that it is their policy that the camp host will direct us into our parking space. The attendant lead us to our spot and proceeded to direct us back into the space. We told the man that we were to close to the tree and he told us we were OK "keep coming back." We were not OK and backed into a tree branch, breaking our bedroom window. The attendant said that he was very sorry and that it was all his fault. He said that he did not look up and did not see the branch. We had to call someone locally which was difficult because it was New Years weekend and everyone had gone home. ( 5:00 PM). We found a local glass place and the owner was very nice to come over and install a piece of plexi glass. He charged us $125.00 plus I gave him a $20.00 tip for coming out on News Years Eve. The Camp manager Barbara, came to our site and said that she would comp our stay and that she would contact the owners to make things right. We have called on numerous occasions to see why we have not heard from Vero Beach Kamp grounds since we were told by the manager that the owners would get back to us, but have not heard anything since our leaving on Jan. 1st. The cost of replacing the entire window is $ 625.00 plus the $125.00. I told Barbara this and that I would like them to pay ONLY the $500.00 deductible from my insurance co. [Good Sams ] I feel we deserved a call back out of respect to their visitors. We were told by the employee there that the new owners where trying to turn this campground around and put lots of money into the establishment. We do not feel this is the way to get good reviews and make for a successful business. Disappointed,

I am a single, 52-year-old woman with disabilities, who only walks her dog up the street and back and no further. They allow motorized skateboards with dogs on a leash, running along side. This is a complete distraction for anyone walking their dogs. I was just evicted after a very Young man, on a skateboard with his dog, and at least a 20 foot leash. When he stopped after my dogs noticed him, I was dragged to the ground and all this "man" man did was show concern if my dogs were aggressive, which they were currently playing with his dog. He showed no concern for a woman old enough to be his mother who had fallen to the ground about my well-being. His parents should be ashamed and the fact that I am the one who was evicted is absolute insanity! If they want to keep this crack filled den of theirs, keep these practices up, you're doing a great job. I would recommend that anyone who has any self worth about just trying to stay to themselves at a campground. Do not come here! It's a disgrace, and it shows what humankind has become, and we are just raising more of them. They should not be allowed in a 5 mile an hour zone to be flying up and down the streets, multiple people, some with multiple dogs at a time. It's reckless And absolutely should be stopped. Absolutely nothing happened from that incident except for myself being hurt physically. The dogs were fine and the kids didn't care. But I'm the one who's leaving. Don't ever make this mistake! These people do not care about anybody and show no...

When I booked the place we had 3 people coming. During the week my husband had a job he had to work Saturday, so he decided not to come. When at the check in, I mentioned this they said SHE would have to be notified... The next day, Saturday I asked to speak to said, SHE, and no one knew what I was talking about. Sunday at the BBQ dinner which we arrived at 45 mins after 4 and SHE said she only had chicken and cupcakes left. So we took it and left. When I asked this lady, who I was told she was the OFFICE MANAGER. She said there was nothing to do about a refund of $45 for the extra person. I let her and other worker know that I was only given 3 sets of TWO tickets foe the meals, and not 3 like I paid for! They again said there was nothing theycould do, as whenI made the reservationis what amount of food they bought to feed everyone, I said than, I should have gotten 3 extra meals! But no! Was not happy with this Memorial Day Special as it was nothing special...except the COST! I see the regular camping per night price in $58! I paid $320 for 3 nights! NO SPECIAL THERE...and without accommodating my wishes for a refund or extra meals was very unprofessional! I will call and speak to OWNER on week days, as I was told that's when they are there! Poorly run place for sure. Grounds were clean and neat, and pool was nice, but poor management for sure!

Typical example of a slum lord that runs this property. Pros 1. It's mildly cheap (even with power charged separately) 2. Great location for me 3. Water and power worked with no issues 4. Pool is big and clean 5. Staff is friendly and holds events for guests Cons 1. Lots are very close to each other and very difficult to park rig in a 90 degree lot. Layout is not designed with rvs in mind 2. Playground is a joke with trash and rusted equipment that terrifies me as a parent (make sure you have a recent tetanus shot) 3. High capacity washers rarely work 4. Sewer did not drain very well on 2 different lots 5. Deposit for electricity will come with a $10 service fee??? 6. I had 2 interactions with the owner and she was extremely rude both times 7. They hose down the bathrooms to clean them... kinda gross 8. This place looks like a dump especially with a repair shop on-site with abandoned rvs next to the repair shop Ultimately you get what you pay for, but I've paid less for much more. It's clear this place is being run in to the ground and squeezing guests until land is sold to a developer. If you can stay somewhere else I would highly recommend it even if you have to commute further.
