I could not have asked for a more perfect day! My husband and I decided to get married quickly after being engaged. We only had 6 weeks from when we wanted it to be. We knew we wanted a beautiful place, intimate and where we could just show up. We researched top places for a small wedding and Rock city popped up in a top 20. After seeing the photos and being the only place with prices online, we called and they were able to meet us and show us the grounds the same day. First thing is first; not only does Vicki Green have a perfect name for her job but she also a perfect personality and love for what she does. Just walking around the garden with her and listening to her, we knew that she would be the perfect person to help us. Vicki helped us from start till literally the moment we got into our car, married. She helped with color ideas, made all the bouquets, boutonnières and corsages. She was there for the rehearsal and the day of. Helped with the music, escorting people to the bathroom and making sure people weren’t walking into the bridal suite before I was ready. After the wedding she helped with making sure we had the best locations for photos. My day was stress free because of her. I honestly would not change a thing about that day. I have patronized Rock City Gardens many times on many levels over the years. I own beautiful plants, unique pots, a motor for my fountain, which took five of their men to install, attended luncheons overlooking the pond featuring quest speakers and a Christmas event at Rock City Gardens with professional lighting. Champagne and hors-d’oeuvres were served. I take guests there just to roam the beauty that abounds. My experience yesterday was exceptional, as well. I was greeted by a gentleman named Shawn. He listened carefully to my ideas. He made a number of appropriate suggestions which he educated me on, in depth. Shawn was kind, professional, extremely knowledgeable, passionate and very through. He educated me on how to plant, what to use and not to use in the soil. How to water and when, how to trim to create desired height, width and encourage procreation. I wish I had videoed Shawn. He said he would write down anything I wanted or I could call him anytime if I had more questions or concerns. Shawn has guided me in a new, creative and educated direction. EFFECTIVE REPELLANTS! Shameful Shameful, o little garden of rocks❗️

They seem to have come up with a nifty scheme for encouraging customers to browse other nursuries in hopes of finding a more “we love our customers.. let us SHOW you” atmosphere.

It’s really a nice place to walk; & one can drop 1000’s just on a couple of xxxL urns. But they sold me the wrong fertilizer and then would not (“Sorry, we do NOT take any chemicals back; never have. … says so right on the receipt”). That system helps them keep the cash right where they want it,, in their till❗️. Anyways I told them I was looking for a palm fertilizer for the palm trees in our yard, and they sold me “container fertilizer” for container plants. It’s not the same. But returning it? How dumb could I get? Well we’re visiting other places, and at BUSY BEE we won’t have to read the receipt to find out if I can return something that was wrongly suggested for my particular use❗️.
