The Elysian Retreat Sedona will over deliver in every way. Kristen and Roger have created a space that is personal, unique and absolutely stunning. From the overall openness of the space, to the small details of each individual room, everything was designed with intention. We recently held a 24 person wedding at the Elysian Retreat and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. One of our favorite things about booking our wedding at the Elysian Retreat was how easy it was to customize our day. We started off our planning process by meeting with Dani, the wedding coordinator. If you’re like us, you probably think you can plan your small wedding without a coordinator. I think once you meet Dani, you’ll realize you were wrong. Dani spent time with us and compiled a list of recommended vendors that she thinks would work with our personality and desired style. I was absolutely shocked at how intuitive she was after our first meeting. All of our vendors (photographer, caterer, hair/makeup and officiant) were booked through Dani’s recommended list. She not only took our personalities into account, but our budget as well. With the list of recommended, affordable vendors, we were able to narrow down our search and have the peace of mind knowing that they’ve provided exceptional services in the past. We are happy to report that all of these vendors exceeded our expectations as well. On the day of, Dani took all the hard stuff off our plate. She coordinated the day of schedule with our vendors, set up/broke down the table settings, and just overall provided a beautiful, elevated day. When we came back to the venue after our ceremony, the ambiance was exactly as we dreamed. She helped our caterer set up a beautiful appetizer station, the lights were dimmed, our playlist was on and the house was just so inviting. We even heard that Roger had come by to check in on everything before my husband and I made it back to the venue (we arrived a little later after some final photos at our ceremony spot). It was very nice to hear that even though Dani had everything under control, Kristen and Roger were still very much committed to making sure everything went smoothly. I have so many good things to say about the Elysian Retreat and could write a review that would take up pages. Overall, if you’re looking for an intimate wedding, I don’t think you could do better. While the views and the home were overall beautiful, I think the people make all the difference. Kristen, Roger and Dani helped give us our dream wedding.

Where do I begin??? I found The Elysian Retreat by happenstance when I was scoping out locations to hold my first ever Wellness Retreat. What instantly drew me to the space was its aesthetic. Every photo of the home drew me in. Now, I’m someone who follows her gut and my gut was just screaming “This is the place.” So I booked it. And the space, Kristen and Roger, everything about the Elysian EXCEEDED my expectations . What myself and my guests noticed the most was the attention to detail and love that was put into make the space zen. We could tell every little nook and cranny was thought about. From the elemental themed bedrooms. To the mix of textures and color pallets. As soon as we entered the space it felt like home. Which was perfect for the experience I curated with my guests. A lot of soul baring and tears and laughter and love was explored in our 4 days together. And I can confidently say that all was possible because the Elysian Retreat fostered a safe, cozy space for us to do so! Some of my favorite things about the Elysian: THE DECK - there is no better spot to take in a morning coffee than on the deck THE LOCATION - not going to lie first time I drove down the hill, I was so nervous but the actual location of the retreat is in the most picturesque spot and incredibly close to anything you need. THE CREEK - who doesn’t love a private hiking trail? And to a beautiful, crystal clear creek? We would have loved to take a dip but it was definitely not warm enough at the time. THE LIVING SPACES - the main level living space has floor to ceiling windows that take in the landscape and pictures do not do it justice. I held daily yoga classes there as well, because again it was cooler out so we couldn’t utilize the outdoor spaces. The upstairs living space has a more cozy vibe that we utilized for all of our workshops and downtime. Honestly I could rave on and on about the Elysian. I will be hosting another retreat there and I highly highly recommend you book them for your event as well!

Our whole experience at the Elysian Retreat was incredible. My husband and I had our wedding reception here and stayed a couple nights with our families. The whole house has such a calming energy and the decor is so well thought out and intentional. Kristen, Roger, and Dani helped us plan our micro wedding and did so much to minimize our stress throughout the whole process. After they had an idea of what we were envisioning for our wedding, they provided a list of vendors they've had great experiences with in the past. They were all so great to work with and made sure we were well taken care of. Along with our photographer, they developed the timeline for the day's progression and kept all of our vendors in the loop. We had our ceremony among the red rocks, and when we came back to the house, everything was beautifully set up for the reception out on the patio. We're so grateful for Kristen, Roger, and Dani for creating the perfect intimate wedding for us!

I don't even know how to start this review so I guess I'll start at the beginning. Planning a wedding is stressful, but planning a wedding in another country that uve never been to is I'm sure a whole other story. Luckily, from the moment I was in contact with Roger and Kristen, I never had to worry about anything. I really loved how they took the time to get to know us and our vision for our day.

Prior to arriving at the retreat, our entire parties baggage was lost at the Phoenix airport, Roger and Kristen so graciously offered to lend us anything they could to make our day still happen, right down to lending dress shoes for my husband. Thankfully, our bags were located and we recieved them before the wedding, but this act of kindness and generosity just speaks toward their incredible character.

The retreat itself was absolutely stunning! Set in the hills of Arizonas most infamous red rock, this home just oozed desserty vibes. Each room had its own element design and was decorated so beautifully. The main living space was open and cozy, perfect for small or large get togethers. Lastly and probably my most favourite part of the retreat was the views from their huge deck where we had our wedding reception, followed by another upper deck surrounded by gorgeous twinkle lights. I seriously felt like I was in a disney movie.

Kristen's table scape was an art piece on its own- my guests are still talking about it. From the warm earthy tones and dessert burnt orange colors, you really feel Arizonas magical charm all around you.

Roger was so helpful with mc'ing our first dance and helping us with our pre selected Playlists- we really didn't have to worry about anything.

I couldn't have imagined a better day and I'm so glad that we picked Kristen and Roger's Elysian...
