Went down to Boston for a hockey tournament and this place was listed to be able to accommodate teams which means at least 15 kids and adults per team. There was a loby where u could sit and chat and where they served breakfast. Which was fine. The first night 2 teams of various team parents were ewthere enjoying conversation and at 12 oâclock we were asked to leave. No damage was done . They went to bed well the next day at 5 oâclock there was a sign up with chairs blocking the sitting area saying it was closed to everyone! I had called corporate and they said that they are franchises and can do what they want! So on returning there were 3 hockey teams staying there on had just arrived. I asked for a 10 oâclock curfew but I was told no , many parents were upset! Then I turn around and 4 police had been called out to the best western. They asked me what was going on and I explained the above! They said everyone had to keep the kids in the rooms with the parents and if we wanted to hang out or the kids to go across the street to a bar in the storm that was happening at the time. We told the police that there would be no problem. But if this place is not able to accommodate hockey teams they should be taken off the list and some kind of Reimbersment come to the families who didnât damage anything but was told to go out in bad weather to sit with the boys and have to spend more money. That they said they could accommodate.our team rated this a -10 , this place is only good for a quick overnight not 4 days with hockey teams. Please do not use this place, very bad...
Read moreUnprofessional front desk Gabby blamed my family for noise that we complained about and secretly tried to charge us for it without any notification. Even though she personally checked me out with smile thanking me for staying. We are in the state for my sonâs baseball tournament. All 4 days we were out of the hotel no later than 8am and not back until 830 for bed. We showered and went to bed everyday. (90% of our team stayed in another hotel so we went to them to hangout and play). My advise is to complain from the beginning because I never did and got the shaft. My 7 year old picked up a Dirty tampon applicator on floor next to the bed that has no underneath, I said nothing. Zero notification there was no pool, didnât complain. My dirty bathroom, didnât complain. The constant noise from neighbors, I complained ONLY after it was blamed on me. Gabby claimed she confirmed it was our room because she went in the room under us and heard noise. Never came to my room when I complained to hear it wasnât my room. Never actually physically went to the neighbors room to tell them to be quiet. Quiet time is 10pm-8am, but at 845 sheâs calling my room to tell me to be quiet, we had been in the room 12 minutes by then. However, I had another from desk lady tell me she knew it wasnât my room and that room 104 complained and she notified them it was not my room (220) but the room next to me 222. They allowed their children to run up and down the halls, yell, jump, slam doors and more. Iâm not the type of person to complain when Iâm in a communal area, but...
Read moreThis place had the worst mattresses ever!!! My husband and I hardly got any sleep. The mattress felt like it was hundred years old- could almost feel the spring on the mattress from loss of cushion over the years. They need to replace these mattresses otherwise they are going to lose customers. We asked the manager for another that was updated - hoping to get a mattress that was more new. The manager couldnât guarantee that because she couldnât determine which rooms were newer. We took a chance, regardless, thinking it couldnât possibly be worse than what we had. The first room had a mattress that sunk in the middle and my husband and I held onto the edge of the bed hoping not to sink. Our second room had a mattress that was just as bad.
We stayed the Labor Day weekend. The rooms were fully booked- mostly bc of a hockey tournament. The management tried to accommodate us but fell short. The rooms also smelled of smoky, mildewy odor which told me this place wasnât updated. The closets were strange bc the clothes rack/rod was installed over a shelf; I couldnât hang any clothes the shelf got in the way. Lastly, it was noisy. I could hear cars and people talking. Not very well insulated room.
The only positive things about this place was that it was cheaper than other places, continental breakfast came free, and the staff was friendly. But if you canât have good sleep, you donât want to stay here. I have stayed at better places for...
