EXECUTIVE Inn & Suites — Hotel in Shepherd

When I went to my hotel room - I opened the door and saw the bed was not made and I am not entireley sure there was not someone staying in that room (all the lights were on). I went to the desk and told the clerk the room was not clean. She brought a new key and attempted to open the room next to my original room. It too was occupied- and there were people in that room. So, once again she went and keyed another card - and took me to a room that was not occupied - thankfully (Room 115). But, it was supposed to have been a non-smoking room - but a former occupant had smoked in there. |The room: on initial inspection it seemed OK. There was a sofa, coffee table, king size bed, desk, microfridge, microwave all for $50/night. But, when I went to the bathroom, there was someone's used towel still drapped over the shower rod (the shower curtain had been pushed back and it was hidden - but the cleaning person should have seen it). There was hair on the floor and on the toilet.|The large vanity area had something sticky all over it - I had to clean it. |There were peanuts on the bed spread. I pulled back the sheets and thankfully they were clean and fresh - that would have been the last straw. |The room would have been perfectly fine if it had just been cleaned properly. I used to be impressed with the overall price, appearance and, comfort of this place, but the last two times I stayed here I have been highly disappointed. Room 208 was filthy, had trash on top of the t.v cabinet, a broke chair and clearly not up to par in regards to cleanliness. I informed the front desk of this and she paid it no mind. Simply brushed off my justified complaints without hesitation. Despite this I gave them another try. I was put in the same room during this stay (208) Much to my dismay my boyfriend and i were not the only occupants. Roaches were in all parts of the room. The bed. The sink counter. (Caught one on my toothbrush!) 😭😣 and in the shower. We informed the manager the same night and he switched us to a different room. But was not happy about it. Quite salty in fact...the new room was slightly better. Still not properly cleaned. Overall i just would not recommend this place due to the lack of care and customer service. Overpriced especially since you have to share your room with unauthorized occupants. Maybe hire a new maid or maintenance person! I would be more that willing to help tackle and solve a lot of the general problems of this place! Starting with the up keep and cleanliness in the rooms!!!...

We stayed there for a family reunion nearby, along with several other family members. Horrible service. We paid $63.15 for a double room. Upon checking in we were told we would have to wait a few minutes for him to come open our door because the key programmer wasnt working. 20 minutes went by while our family and 2 others stood around outside our rooms waiting. Finally my husband went back to ask what was the hold up and we ended up being given another room where the key worked. The room itself was ok but when our kids turned on the tv, a hardcore porno was playing. The next morning we went down for the advertised continental breakfast. Literally all that was offered was fruit loops and cheerios. The coffee maker wasnt even working. Plus there is a sign that says no food taken back to rooms, eat in lobby. We WILL NOT...
