This is the only place I stay in Show Low. One of the better Hampton Inns. Pool, hot tub and gym. Balcony rooms are nice. Camille was a mighty happy and friendly front desk person. Decent internet and easy to get in and out of here.
Edit* Changed to one star. Was charged for “smoked in room” $32.68. Called and asked about the charge. Young lady that answered the phone said it was an odd charge because when people smoke in the room, it’s a $250 charge. I smoked on the balcony, with the main door closed. It was a cool night so I actually slept with the door open and the screen closed. Which, if a tiny amount of smoke happened to follow me in, would have been aired out. When I talked to the manager, she said she remembered my stay (a Tuesday) and that people were complaining all week and into the weekend about the smell. I think she mistook me for someone else. I have read nothing about it is forbidden to smoke on the balcony. Had their been a 🚫 🚬 on the door, I would’ve went outside. Maybe if I just threw my cigarettes on the ground like everyone else, and not collected them in a bottle to throw away, I wouldn’t have been charged. Maybe I need a $50 credit for the time I stayed there and the hot tub was out of order? I guess a credit won’t do me any good as I won’t be back.
2 things will happen, 1) I will pay this charge. 2) I will not be back to this hotel ever in my lifetime. Even if it’s 12/31 and I need one more night to keep lifetime diamond status and the room is only $1 for the night, and they are serving free cocktails...
Read moreOur stay at the Hampton Inn Show Low- Pinetop was impressive, comfortable and exactly what we expected from a Hilton property. From our first contact with the front desk (Sarah), I knew the service would be top-notch. We were always greeted with a friendly smile at the entrance. All of our calls and requests were handled efficiently and with a smile. Everyone from guest services to housekeeping represented this hotel in a positive way. Great job to Ivon for an exceptionally clean room.
One mention I must make is for Lily who helped me at Breakfast. She is on top of her game. I joined breakfast later in the morning right before closing, but Lily patiently waited for me make my waffles and helped me put together a great meal to take back to the room. She really took the time to show she cared and that means so much to us. I really hope she is recognized for her level of hospitality because she's a shining star.
Just a few words for the corporate management team. The only real trouble we had were purely technical concerning the digital key not working at the side entrance, however, I had a feeling this might be out of the control of the management at the property, so not that big of a deal. Also the property is definitely overdue for new beds and pillows.

Read moreThis hotel is run very unprofessional. Every one at the front desk lies. Called in the morning to find out if there was a chance for early checkin. Was told to call at 1pm. I called at 1pm and was told NO rooms were ready. Told to checkin at 3pm. I checked in at 3pm and was told the room was just done. On our floor there was no maids cart. On our floor 24 other rooms were cleaned with no seals broken on the doors. On entering the room we saw our view was of a roof. I went to the front desk and requested a new room with a view and was told there was no other rooms available. I am a gold member and this is the room I got. Gold members are supposed to get room upgrade. This is the room with the WORST view. Went later to the front desk, the person at the front desk asked me if I was checking in. I said no and i request a room with a better view. She said she would put my name on a list as soon as one came available. She never asked for my name or room number and didn't remember I checked in. She had no idea who I was. That night on 1/2 of the floor we were on 4 room seals were not broken. Stayed 4 nights and was never called. The last day they were maybe at 50% capacity. The front desk people lie just to sound like they care about you being a guest. Have to give them 1 star because the room...
