I was soo DISAPPOINTED! We always stay here when visiting family in the area and have had great experience in the past with clean rooms and friendly service. However, this time was the exact opposite. We were in town for a wedding and called to reserve our room about 4 mos prior, which was part of some blocked rooms for other wedding attendees. When we got to the hotel at 3pm on day of the wedding, the young man behind the desk was not friendly and said there was no room for us. He offered no apology or anything and seemed to absolutely not care at all. I found out a short while later that it happened to two others in our wedding group also. AND to add insult, he charged one of their credit cards the next day for the room they didn't get! I was appalled at their lack of concern over their mistake! Not sure if they were overbooked and so gave our room to a higher paying guest or just terrible at record keeping since I called direct and didn't go through the internet. I did talk to another person in our group that booked on-line and they almost didn't get their room because the hotel desk person wouldn't accept the confirmation number due to not understanding a shortened first name not matching legal name on CC. Do NOT trust you will have a room just because you reserved one!! Do not recommend staying to anyone because of the entire situation and their lack of care/response. It sucks when you are counting on having a room and then have to scramble at the last second for a plan b. Luckily we had family living in the area and could...
Read moreI stayed for a week in this Nice, Very Clean, Friendly, Quiet, Comfortable motel, and was VERY well satisfied. Everything was nicely cleaned and the owners were very friendly and helpfull. I enjoyed a hot breakfast of bisquits and gravy with scrambled eggs, juice and great coffee each morning. Other choices included fruit, cereals, toast, and probably some other things I skipped over. There was good TV I think, although my attention was limited there, wifi gave me no issues, Micro and refrigerator in room, and the kicker for me was the LazyBoy recliner. Not sure if all the rooms feature this type of chair, but it really makes the stay so much more enjoyable if you have an hour or so to relax before bed, and a comfortable chair is waiting, as opposed to those horrendously designed chairs I find in most Motels. My business was in Worthington, around 20 miles away, but NO traffic and all freeway made the short trip enjoyable rather than an obstacle. With very easy access from Hwy 60 exit 48, the street was so quiet I never heard a thing in the room except one night it rained and the thunder/lighting show was spectacular. It's a 2 storey motel, but I never noticed the upper tenant. Good sound insulation? No thundering hallway traffic or slamming doors. There were no long, hallways or huge parking lot to traverse with luggage. Convenience store in the next block in the event you forgot something. The price was unbeatable and value for $ was outstanding. Nothing at all to...
Read moreI stayed here on business, 2 nights one week and 4 nights the next week. Before I ever checked in, I got told not to come here from locals because it was a place a lot of construction workers stayed at. I've traveled a lot and wasn't too worried about it, so I kept my reservation and boy am I happy I did. The hotel itself was fine, not crazy nice and fancy like a big hotel, but it was cozy. Nice little breakfast area where they have homemade bread of different flavors (my favorite was pineapple-banana). Cute little reading nook on the 2nd floor by the stairs and a community computer. They also have a vending machine and iec machine on the 1st floor. Rooms were clean with GIANT bathtubs. They're supposed to be jacuzzis, but mine didn't work. Still worked fine for a big ol' hot bath though. Microwave and mini fridge with free wifi and cable. Comfy bed and pillows. The warning about the construction workers? Yeah...I ran into a lot of them, but they caused no trouble during my 6 nights there. They grilled and talked outside near the end of the hotel, and when I would happen to pass them in the hallway they were respectful. The biggest highlight of my stay was the owners. They treated me like a special guest from the first time I checked in. Very friendly. I didn't always make it to breakfast, but they made sure I had at least coffee in the morning, even if they had to brew a whole new pot. Any problem or concern I had, they were more than happy to help. I would go back...
