Little hidden gem. If you are looking for new everything...look somewhere else. But if your focus is somewhere to relax and just kick back...this is your place. We stayed in the Blue Lagoon. Everything was very tidy and clean. You could see the water from bed. It does have a private entrance from parking and to the pool/deck area. Loved having a private hot tub outside our door. They have at least 5 beach cruisers and a canoe and a kayak. Nice area with a bbq grill with chairs and tables on the deck. A double hammock hangs near the water along side the pool. I cant go without saying...the wifi - stinks...actually is non existant. We called upon arrival and the lady said we could connect to any of the IDs that appeared. Never worked. We let the lady the next day know and she said it might have been due to the storms. Not true as it was clear as day out and didnt rain till like 11pm. So if you need to look things up...do it before you get there. It was annoying as we didnt really look things up before we arrived. But the really the only complaint I had. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Romantic, adult only side. Siesta #4 My advise on jacuzzi is to turn temp. Down to 95 degrees. Ours was set on 104 and that's hot to us. Was nice after a long bike ride but wasn't able to stay in it very long. Very clean. Setup like old florida with some modern style. Comfortabl bed. Beautiful, modern, newly remodeled, bathroom. Only steps away from dock. Boat ramp in sight. Comfortable bikes, some had flat tires but they have a pump. The door going out of jacuzzi area was broken but works and locks. Private jacuzzi area directly outside your room door on front porch for you only and its private. If it rains half the porch has screen shade over roof for sun light so items can get wet, be aware of that. It's meant that way. We are very comfortable in a place like this but not all will like it because it's not for the up and up. It's for the more down to earth person. More old florida style. Nearly perfect for us. Could use a little maintenance on porch area, door mainly. We loved it though.

We spent our 41th anniversary here in the Sunset Suite and what a lovely suite it is! Sadly, the hot tub did not work, we were offered to use another suite's hot tub, but that felt kinda weird. The kitchen had everything we needed, and lots of extra towels in the bathroom. We enjoyed the quiet location, the sunsets from our porch overlooking the bay, watching dolphins swim by, and the short walk to turtle beach.

STAY HERE! Seriously, anyone who doesn’t love this place is a sociopath. It has so much heart and personality. We feel like new people after just three days. ||||||My job has made me a world traveler and I can assure you, I’ve never once stayed in a place I enjoyed more. Family Owned. Staff Phenomenal and obviously treated well. In turn, guests are treated like family. A great American business. Seriously I wish I could give these people ten stars.||||||BEAUTIFUL grounds, so much to do and see. The pictures don’t do it justice. Luxurious without being tacky. The word that comes to mind is Genuine— unpretentious— just absolutely glorious.! An old Florida feel in the best possible way. ||||As for the room: incredible mattress, generous space, great coffee maker, and full kitchen so you can cook (Or Grill by the water outside). That private hot tub is clutch. Everything is clean and charming as heck. I was worried to stay at a couples resort because i thought it might feel sleazy, but not here. Incredibly classy and romantic, a place to make wholesome memories for a lifetime. ||||Show up with a bathing suit and a change of clothes and you won’t need anything elseTwo pools, great hammocks, outdoor seating areas that look like Havana in the 50s with those palm leaf fans— you can see water everywhere you go. Complimentary towels, sunscreen, kayaks, bikes, fishing poles. Coupons and discounts everywhere. I mean are you kidding me?!? |||||| The location can’t be beat. You’re five minutes from everything that matters. Anything else you can take a free trolly too. Make sure you take a minute to use the kayaks to check out the mangroves, or kayak directly to the beach if you don’t feel like taking the FIVE MINUTE WALK.||I recommend grabbing breakfast a short distance away at Toasted Mango. Also, stop by the optical shop next door for an affordable quality pair of designer sunnies. You Earned it,||||||Alana at the front desk is a magician. Every part of our stay was seamless and she went way out of her way to make recommendations, give a tour and make adjustments for us out of pure kindness and dedication to the place.||||David, the owner is also remarkable, so down to earth and friendly. He loves this place and it shows. He can be seen talking with guests and pitching in right alongside his staff. He even taught us how to canoe against the wind.||||Also, Caroline, at the front desk— is a star, funny, honest, helpful and just a gem.||||Don’t think twice about this place, BOOK IT. We’re coming back in a few months because it’s basically spiritual medicine to stay here. You...

My husband and I booked this room for a quick getaway that we have been trying to go on since March. The ONLY thing that I can say that wasn't great was finding where to check in. So for those of you reading this who haven't visited this great place, the office is across the street and down just a little way where the resort is (the side that allows children). Look for a blue sign that says office and follow the walkway. I called Alana to find out where it was and she stayed on the phone with me while I found it. Caroline in the office was very helpful, and pretty soon I was on my way back to check in to room #4, the Siesta suite. What a delightful surprise! The room itself was ice cold...a very nice treat since it was 94 degrees outside...and everything was absolutely immaculate! The bathroom has new amenities, the kitchen had everything we needed and then some, and the bed..oh my goodness the sheets were the nicest I have ever slept on! The hot tub smelled of bleach - IN A GOOD WAY...clearly was cleaned recently, and was PERFECT. There were camp chairs for us to use, which we took to the beach right down the road. We sat and watched the sun set while a couple were doing some evening fishing. It was very quiet. Very relaxing. It was exactly what we were looking for! There are grills for guests to use, bikes, kayaks, fishing poles..bags of ice for guests...I mean..who does all this? Some reviews have mentioned that things are getting old and worn...yes..the pool needs to be refinished...yes, there's a few items showing age, but let me tell you - any place on the water in Florida is going to show wear. The salt destroys everything. That's just how it is. We ended up having to leave a day early b/c hurricane Elsa was moving in and there was great likelihood of storm surge and flooding, but Alana graciously allowed us to come back on another date to finish our stay. We are very much looking forward...

So first, let me tell you what they do right, customer service was pretty good, Alicia went out of her way to fix some mix ups that happened before we got there so thank you for that. ||Description from website "new luxurious new hot tub with waterfalls." ||Every year for our anniversary we go all out and spend a decent amount of money on a room for a getaway. We stayed Thurs-Sun at turtle inn at the Royal Palm cottage. The hot tub didn't have any waterfalls, nor was it anywhere CLOSE to new, the very first thing that happened as I stepped into it was the poorly glued handle fell apart and face first I went into the hot tub, fun. The bed, so you know those plastic mattress protectors you use n your toddlers bed? Yes, those crunchy annoying it is so hot I cannot sleep covers, on the bed. On day two we took that off so I could sleep that night, wow what a stain on the mattress, gross but whatever. There was an envelope for gratuities for the housekeeping staff on the table, however, we never saw a housekeeper (which was fine just not to leave a tip for nothing) The people we did have interaction with were very friendly and overall we still made the best of it and enjoyed our anniversary, but, to be fair, you guys know what your pictures look like versus reality. The hammock (one by the way, not several) has a hole in the netting so large my bottom would go right through it, the pool has been so chipped up on the bottom that it is no longer pretty. The gardening being done was beautiful. I would stay here again if their prices matched their property but for almost $900 we could've stayed almost anywhere and been in much more appealing accommodations. I am still pretty pissed about the advertised "New hot tub with waterfalls" to look like what we had, very much feels like intentionally...
