0 stars if I could. I came to visit my husband at this hotel due to him working out of town. He got stuck with this hotel due to his reservation being given away at another hotel and this was the only other close enough to his job. Thursday night me and my 2 children drove to him from out of state to visit him for his birthday/Father’s Day. I immediately felt something was off, there’s a big family of Hispanics (I believe) that live there, possibly 10-15 of them. Lots of the men constantly roaming the hallways, sitting on the stairs, partying in the gated area you can see to right of this picture. We stayed Thursday night and Friday night. Saturday morning after my husband left for work one of them men starts tapping on our door, I open it thinking maybe he’s part of management or he’s housekeeping you know and he just laughs at me. I shut the door and try going back to bed and he comes back with someone else. I open to see what they need and they don’t say anything to me, they only speak to each other in Spanish so I can’t understand them. They both step forward and one tries to pet my dog, which I was holding so she didn’t run out of the room. I immediately shut the door and say “no thank you”, dead bolt and latch the door. I wait a few minutes to see if they go away and the first original guy stays and starts tapping on my door. I try calling and texting my husband a couple times, he doesn’t answer due to being at work, I’m not sure if I should call the cops because maybe they’re just being stupid you know? But this guy ends up sitting in front of our room and watches underneath the door to see if I come to it. I take a towel and cover the crack under the door, try calling my husband again and I text him again telling him “I’m gonna have to call the cops if you don’t answer”. I go back to door to look through the peep hole and this guy has his ear pressed against the door, tapping on it, and saying “please help me” and starts shaking the door handle trying to open the door. At this point my husband calls me back, I tell him what’s going on and he gets tells me to call the cops, he’s on his way. I call the cops, my husband gets there and immediately gets us out of the hotel and into my car. On our way to the car a different guy there stops us and is like “we sent those guys home, we saw them on the camera”. The “manager” tells us it was his uncle and he was drunk, which I don’t believe at all. These guys were young, I do not think it was their uncle but that doesn’t matter. my husband goes inside to talk to the people and I drive to up by the road to wait on the cops to arrive. They come, get all of my information, and then go to the lobby to try to talk to someone. Everyone is gone except one person, who we were told was the owners son. When the cop tries talking to this man he all of a sudden doesn’t speak English, when just 5 minutes ago he had a whole conversation with my husband? My husband then comes back to me with all our things and we leave. The cops stay back to do their jobs I guess and that was that.
I 100% believe something horrible would’ve happened if they would’ve gotten into the room. Whether it be they hurt us, took us, or trafficked us it wouldn’t have been good. Please stray away...
Read moreMy visit to Knights Inn was very disconcerting to me. Both my husband and I felt unsafe to spend the night there. ||||We pulled in front of the lobby area to find a shirtless and unkempt man appearing from the lobby door. He went to a car parked across from the lobby and re-entered the lobby. ||||I entered the lobby to check-in. There was no hotel representative available to greet me or check me in. I called the phone # on the counter sign to reach a representative with no success. I called the # several times only to have it ring the phone behind the counter in front on me. I left a message 1x and did not receive a call back. ||||The bare-chested man appeared in the lobby again while I was at the counter, he saw me and immediately turned and exited through an interior door into the hallway adjacent to the lobby. He continued to linger there as I waited in the lobby for a hotel rep to pick up the phone or show up at the counter. ||||I found a business card on the counter for Brittney Rohlfs, Front Desk Associate, that indicated a cell phone # 712-223-8737. I called the # and Brittney picked up, she said she would be at the counter momentarily. She came out of a hotel room immediately off the lobby where the bare-chested man had been lingering. She wore dark sweatpants with big writing up one pantside. She was not in any sort of business attire, which startled me as I initially thought she was a hotel guest in her pajamas instead of the hotel’s front desk staff. I asked her twice if everything was OK here at the hotel. She said it was. I told her I had been waiting over 10 minutes and called the # on the sign several times. She commented that she didn’t know why the hotel owner didn’t come to the counter. ||||My husband was parked outside the lobby. He was able to enter the hotel from an unsecured back door where he saw a Mexican man lingering across from the back entrance drinking a beer, and another Mexican man hanging out in the back corridor. ||||After checking in at the front desk, and not even seeing our room, I told Brittney that we didn't feel safe and to cancel our reservation....
Read moreIt's an alright place to stay for the night. Bed was really comfortable room was clean and everything worked properly in the room . I left a message for an early check-in and when we got there nobody was at the front desk, there was a lady sitting on a couch in the lobby on her phone and she said to me he said he'll be right back so I said at the desk for a little bit and then went sat down. She didn't proceeded to tell me that she'd been waiting there for 45 minutes for him to come back he was going to go check her room make sure it was ready and he never came back finally he came back in and he apologized and told us he was cleaning rooms because they've had a busy weekend and it was about 1:00 p.m he said give him a couple minutes he got us checked in and he would see if we could go to the room so about 25 minutes later he came back and said a room was ready which made me happy cuz it was hot that day and I like reality we actually did get checked in early and get into a room early check-in time is 3:00 we got in at about 1:45. Had a very peaceful night, slept well, and come morning at about 10:00 a.m.the same manager from check in comes knocking on our door and he tells me it's check out time you need to go now, and the tone he used was not very nice nor was his body language, I was in the room alone my boyfriend was carrying our luggage out to the car an when he was coming back in to see if I was coming another guy that was sitting in the lobby on his phone told my boyfriend that we need to leave now , dont know what that was all about but we won't be staying...
