Had always wanted to try Mateo Kitchen since it is the only Filipino restaurant around and was finally able to make it out there. We started with the tteokbkki and we couldn’t finish with how many there were! It was something new to try and I’m so glad I did, I will definitely be getting it again. I got the pancit malabon and it was juuuuust right. The noodles were thinner than what I thought, but with how many toppings there were I’m glad they were thin otherwise it would’ve been too much. Friend got the beef stew…that didn’t look like traditional stew?¿?¿ but she said it was phenomenal nonetheless. She also had the milk free honeydew boba tea that I’m jealous I didn’t get. If you want a dish that will feed your stomach and inspire your soul, the Tapsilog at Mateo's...

The prices are good and they have an interesting little section where you can buy various condiments etc. This is not a 5 star restaurant that has a dress code, although I'm sure they prefer that you are wearing something. It is not a fancy atmosphere with a highly trained staff to serve your every need. But as far as good flavorful food,, enjoyment, satisfaction, and general well being it is a 4 or 5...
