Bug on the bed, sub par service, bad breakfast

Just stayed here last night. Upon first arriving there is ample parking and the staff was fairly friendly in greeting us at the front desk. Walking through the hallway it smelt of mildew and the carpets were coming up off of the floor-big fall hazard. The room Seemed clean. Had a nice TV, fridge, heating/AC and was spacious. Looked outdated and smelled, but it wasn't the worst. The morning after sleeping, my grandmother found a bug crawling in the sheets of the bed!!! We took it up to the front desk and we ended up calling the hotel hours after leaving in hopes to speak to the manager who promised to call. We were offered 40$ off our next stay...no apology and never came to the room to look at the bed or talk to us. The breakfast Your typical cheap hotel breakfast, but the food seemed old. The creamer for the coffee was curtled. If this place was cheaper, one might expect some of this, but for over 120$ a night i'd rather sleep in my car. The bug really grossed us out and we would have hoped it would be taken much more seriously, we never even saw a manager and they lied about calling us back. Fingers crossed it wasn't a bed bug...makes my stomach turn. Never...

My friend went to this hotel last night. Pool and jacuzzi closed. She walked into the room chemical smell so bad she had a severe allergy attack trouble breathing, went to the desk for a refund, they tried to switch her room and the room had new carpet installed and was just as toxic as the first room. They said the manager wasn't there they couldn't refund her. Called hotels.com and then they called this hotel personally to get the refund and they wouldn't answer the phone, then hotel.com emailed them as I am in the lobby they said they can't open it and refund me my money. After this non stop back and forth between hotels.com and the hotel I was refunded only one night even though I wasn't in the hotel room more than 5 minutes. Hotels.com gave me a coupon for one night at a different hotel which was great but this terrible hotel did not refund me 134$ for the 5 minutes I was in the room. Staff was rude. Called the cops to have me leave the parking lot as I waited for hotel.com to get in touch with them. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. First let me say if you make your reservation by phone make sure you check your email confirmation immediately!! I say this because standing in the lobby we noticed the person who took the reservation reserved a room for the following w/e! ||While they did accommodate us naturally the price of the room was more expensive!||||Rooms are definitely outdated, although clean, small refrigerator, no microwave, no updated electronic outlets what so ever! (Don’t forget your wall charger!) ||Bathroom sink is actually part of the room, with the rest in a room by itself! At the sink is a small coffee maker. 2 floors but no elevator! ||||Hallways are being updated and definitely need it, along with stairwells! And hotel is actually 2 buildings||||Absolutely no coffee or food served by the hotel for breakfast, although they do have a dining area where you can receive and eat delivered food! ||||Definitely not worth $200 a night, but they are competing with tier 1 hotels in the area! ||||Bottom line give them a 2 out of 5 and that’s being generous! ...
