I love bagels. I wasnât expecting much from a gas-station, but this place blew my mind.
Iâm sorry the previous owner screwed over customers by selling gift cards just before leaving, and that the new owner didnt have the honor and decency to honor the gift cards previously sold (if that is what happened. Having owned a business myself, it is possible the new owner took a chance to purchase and couldnât afford to honor cards from when the shop was not his or her own. Should a new business be required to lose money and give free food away to honor the indiscretions of a former business? This seems like a matter more complicated than the former review articulated).
I am sorry some employees here have been unscrupulous and pilfered extra tips (I checked and it didnât happen to me).
BUT, my experience was fabulous!
Half their bagels are low-carb (many of the fun flavors), so I got a spinach and garlic low-carb bagel with an egg, tomato, and avocado, and a slice of cheddar.
I also got an almond-milk âbirthday cakeâ coffee with what I assume is whipped cream on top, as well as a Mango, Starfruit, Passionfruit Refresher.
My order came to about $15 (which is cheaper than Starbucks and for far better quality).
Apparently the low carb bagels are made with soy flour. The texture is PERFECT (and you can check my reviews, I am a New York transplant and am VERY picky about bagels. I was blown away!). The taste is good, but it isnât the bagel taste you expect, so I donât think I would normally get the low-carb, but definitely amazing for what it is.
The fancy fruity drink was a little too sweet for me (likely a mix of a bunch of syrups). I prefer fresh juice based drinks.
The coffee? ON POINT! I got no added sugar, and the sugar on top was JUST the right amount. Mmmmmm.
Wish this was closer!!!!!!
AND itâs attached to a gas station, so you can fill you tank AND your other tank :-).
They also have muffins and pastries and cooler drinks, and are in the same plaza as an aloe-tea and protein smoothie place, a sub shop, and a convenience store.
Plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating.
There is a lip to the curb to the sidewalk in front of the store, and youâd have to get on the sidewalk to get into the store, but it is fully accessible inside.
They also have a...
Read moreokay, I got to such a bagel a lot and I really really like their bagels and coffee like I choose it over dunkin and other options regularly but what I experienced today was so bad. I donât mean this in a harsh way or anything but I went to the drive through with my brother this morning and with no exaggeration we waited in the drive through line, that there was only one car in front of us, for a solid half hour. we finally pulled up to the window to see no line inside and at least five workers in there (some that I assumed were training because of their yellow shirts). I understand being patient with new employees is important because I work in customer service too and iâd only ever hope that someone would be as patient with me as we were with them today, but to get to the window and have the girl helping us not even really know what we got after being asked to repeat ourselves 30 minutes earlier when we placed our order and both of our coffees made too dark was very annoying. I will continue to go to this place of business in greenville on school mornings but I will think twice about going to the drive through on a saturday morning even when it appears to not be busy. donât offer a drive though if your employees canât handle it. the woman behind us had her dog in the car and ultimately pulled out of line to go inside to get her stuff and that really...
Read moreI have been there 3 imes. The first time, it was the drive-up window. The lady was nice and I ordered a chicken salad sandwich. The next time I went to get the same thing, the girl said they don't prepare sandwiches via drive-up. So, I went inside. The place looked sloppy and dirty.. The workers at the counter were dismissive and cold. It was as though I should be thanking them! It took a long time for the order. There was no customers inside or at drive-up. I gave it a shot again and it was worse. It looked dirty and sloppy inside. The trays of bagels in the window cases were thrown about and the cases looked messy and dirty. Then, there were three people behind the counter and not one waited on me. Instead, they waited on people in the drive-up window. I left and won't go back. The customer service...
