I normally don't leave a lot of reviews but here we go. Here on a business trip and in the notes when booking online I asked if I could possibly have a quieter room at the end of a hallway. I was put next to the elevator. Did I mention there's a rock quarry out back so sometimes as early as 6:00 a.m. you can hear backup alarms and dump trucks and loaders doing work?
The prices were inflated for some reason I'm paying about 160 a night with tax. I've stayed at budget hotels for 60 night and gotten cleaner rooms and more worth. The bedroom floor was absolutely nasty. Dried food and stains everywhere on it. Crumbs in the corners. Etc. The bathroom had what looked to be dried blood or something on the wall near the toilet (????) And all the light switches had dirt and sticky something on them. The bath tub had all sorts of other people's hair all over it. The chair in the room looked like it had very very questionable stains on it. Well after a bit of cleaning myself I felt it would be ok to stay here. At least it was worth the hassle changing hotels. Like I mentioned earlier prices were inflated for some reason so I was lucky to get this one at the price I did. I stayed a week for work.
During that week for the first two days I kept the do not disturb on the door. After that I took it off looking for some fresh towels etc. Room service never came by... Or the next day..... Or the next day. I eventually just got my towels from the front desk every time I came in. Finally on the 6th day the assistant GM picked up on what I was doing and asked if I wanted my room cleaned now. At this point I was here one more night so I did not need it or care anymore.
On top of that, being on business you expect decent Internet. Well on the 4th night they did some service to their Internet and combined all their access point names or something of the sort. My Internet speeds dropped to 3.5mbps on the 4th floor. This morning it took two and a half hours to download a 1.8 update to my program.
The grossest part is I have to do laundry on the road. So I went to their self serve laundry center. There was an off smell when I opened the door. Looking in the washers the one had standing water in it with mildew and mold all in it. The second one had what seemed to be just a lot of dirt and sand. I used that one. It left my cloths smelling horrendous. I would of been better off not using it. It was disgusting. I've used truck stop laundry centers that were better kept. DO NOT USE THE LAUNDRY HERE UNTIL THEY ADDRESS THIS.
There is some good though. The breakfast was nice and they changed it up slightly daily. Good free breakfast. Also the staff were extremely nice. Especially Maria(?) at the front desk. Kudos to everyone at the desk.
So all in all, I would look for another hotel and pay slightly more for it than...
Read moreThursday arrival: This hotel was horrible in every aspect of service to cleanliness! I reserved a room for 4 people with two beds. Upon arrival, I always inspect the room and bathroom area. The bathroom had hair in the the bathtub and appeared not to be cleaned. Immediately, I reported a repeated beeping sound that could be heard from my room. He informed me that there was a problem with an alarm system and they are waiting for someone to come in and repair it. The manager told me he would move my room but only had a room with one bed. I told him I would need two beds and he told me to look into the hotel across the street. I replied that my daughter's entire softball team is staying in this hotel. The manager told me he could do nothing. 3 days later.....same beeping sound
Friday: No linens were changed, no garbage can emptied and dirty towels had to be put outside for pickup. When going to the desk to get towels to shower, they aren't ready and unable to shower until towels are cleaned and dry. They informed it there would be a 45-60 minute wait for towels for they were being washed. Had to stay up two hours longer in order to shower because of this even though we had to wake at 5 am to get my daughter to the field for her game. Showered and put towels out in the hall again for pickup.
Saturday: 5 a.m. attempt to get towels and the manager told me they could not accommodate the request due to towels again being washed and it would be another 45-60 minute wait. We could not wait for we needed to be at the field. Later, upon returning from the field, we again ask for towels and the manager tells my daughter he already gave them to her. Are you kidding me? Again, no towels.
Called the corporate office and the manager lies to cover himself for being so rude. He tells them he offered to put a cot in the room on Thursday night---that never happened and don't know how four people could sleep in a room with a bed and a cot! Complete lie!
He again lied to corporate about towels! When I went to the front desk with corporate on the line to attempt to resolve the situation, he threatened to call the police! I had 20 witnesses in the lobby confirming he was yelling at me. He escalated the situation and he was the aggressor.
During my stay, I talked to many unhappy guests. A poor elderly couple who had stayed for an extended stay were up at the front desk begging for clean linens. They offered to put them on the bed themselves. Said it was the 3rd day they have requested!
Have always stayed at Hampton Inn but will be changing hotel chains!
Cleaning horrible, service horrible, guest interactions from hotel manager (Richard) were rude, condescending and with...
Read moreHotel management needs a lesson in customer service. I prepaid for my room about a week in advance, but was later double charged for the room upon checkout. This is an honest mistake and one that you would think could be easily corrected. However, the hotel has been of absolutely no assistance. In fact, I'm not sure if the manager at this hotel even works or has any interest in assisting their customers. Let me explain. After noticing the double charge on my credit card statement on 11/13 (6 days after my stay), I reached out to the hotel to hopefully correct the issue. I was told that only a manager can do this and to call back in the morning when the manager would be around. Call #2 to the hotel occurred on 11/16, when I was once again told the manager was not around. Call #3 occurred on 11/17, and you guessed it, the manager was not around. This time, I asked if they could take down my name and number so the manager could call me at a time that was convenient for them. You would think that the manager would have a designee or even a corporate helpline for something like this if they would be absent for an extended period, but that was not the case here. In addition to leaving my information with the hotel, I also put in a ticket online with Hilton corporate guest relations. I was told (via an automated message) that I need to allow 3 days for follow-up. Well, here we are on 11/30 some 13 days later and there has been no follow up. The manager also never gave me a call. I decided to try to call the hotel again, which would qualify as Call #4 on 11/29 and was told the manager was not around. This time, they put me on hold to try and call the manager but could not reach them. They said that they texted their manager and would call me back once the manager responded. I never got a call back. They did mention that the manager would be in at 10 am the next day so, on 11/30, I attempted Call #5 to the hotel. I was told the manager was not in and would be coming in at 4 pm. The person at the front desk said they saw my note on the manager's desk, but "if the manager doesn't want to call you back, it's not my fault". Of course, 4 pm came and went with no call from the manager. All I am asking for is a courtesy call back to discuss my concern. We are approaching a month now with no answers from the hotel. This is completely unacceptable behavior that the Hampton at Hilton team should...
