If there could be a zero star that's what I would give this place. Rita and Steven are absolutely awful to work with and have horrible communication, customer service skills, and have no desire to actually do their job and care about the happiness or satisfaction of their customers.
We ordered 2 rooms.... 2 months in advance, 1 room dog friendly.
We get there, they gave away one of our rooms and said they didn't have any pet friendly rooms so sent half of our party to another hotel for the night. Keep in mind this was our family Christmas so we all rode in 1 large van and had a vehicle full of Christmas presents, so needless to say it totally ruined Christmas.
They told the rest of our party to be back in the morning and they would have a room. They had to wait over 3 hours the next morning to get a room.
The manager Steve reserved a room for them that Rita then canceled. There were multiple open rooms but we received no help. No one updated us in any form or fashion until they were directly asked every hour. Rita basically hid from us the entire time.
Not to mention, the half of us that stayed at the hotel the 1st night got into our room, unpacked and tried to get settled and found out that the TV didn't work.....so we had to repack all of our things and move rooms.
All in all it was a terrible experience, we lost $500 [on our snow mobile reservations waiting on trying to have a place to put our belongings and have a spot to stay. No one offered any sort of discount, nothing. Horrible customer service from money hungry, uncaring people! If they would like to reach out and discuss...
Read moreI have stayed here many times before and they have always had good service. This time they was rude and I left with the feeling that they didn't care about customer experience.
It seems like they got new staff and a remote controlled check in desk for late check ins. We ordered a room with 2 bedroom and I got asigned room 199 at 2am. But there was no sign that showed where the room was in the hotel and the person at the virtual check in desk couldn't explain it. Then he gave me room 119, but there wasn't any room 119. So then we got room 100 that was a suite where my buddy had to sleep at the sofa. When I complained to the front desk in the morning they told me that they gave me the right room (199) and it was behind the swimmingpool. They person in charge showed no empati for that my friend had to sleep on a sofa and talked to me like I was stupid that didn't find the room with no signage or directions from the virtual check in desk.
I have stayed at this hotel 5-10 times a year for the last 10 years going snowmobiling or flyfishing. They have always had good breakfast with a good selection of egg, hashbrowns, beacon, sousage, gravy and biscuits. It seems like they now have gone cheap on the breakfast and removed egg, hasbrowns, beacon, sousage and to go cookies.
Time to find another place to stay next time we go down to...
Read moreWhen we first got to our suite a maintenance employee was in the room fixing the heater. We thought well that is a gokd thing as it was 20 degrees out. Didn't mind and let him finish. When he was done we then proceeded to unpack and in the living room of the suite the tv was missing which is odd but oh well we can live without that. When I used the restroom there was blood on the toliet paper holder and the extra toilet paper roll. Okay again mistakes happen and they probably missed this. Proceed to later on that night at midnight I wake up freezing and notice the heater isn't on. So I make sure to cover up the kids and after about 30 minutes of it unplugged i plug it back in and it works. Fast forward to 3 am and the heater isn't working again... Same process as it wasn't waking the kids up as we made sure they were covered up with our blankets. Fast forward to 5 am heater goes out again and I say screw it as I'm not the maintenance man. Upon check out I ask for a manager and am told they will have one contact me. Okay so time goes on and nothing. I finally call the hotel and ask for one and they identify themselves as one. I explain the night and they say oh well I will put a work order in and if you sign up for rewards I'll give you some extra points... yes, how did you know I wanted extra points for a sleepless freezinf night...
