Utah is REALLY hot in the summer and we were driving through at the end of July and early August. We had to stop in Spanish Fork to find auto parts and our shopping took longer than we expected so we were tired, annoyed and not ready to continue driving as night started to fall. in town there was the auto parts store, Starbucks and plenty of restaurants to pick from.||||We found the campground through a Google search and it was unbelievably perfect! It was right in town, was only $10 for the night, first come first serve basis but there was a camp host across from the pay stall so she was available to answer all of our questions. She was super helpful and not annoyed by our constant coming back to ask things.||||The Campground is nestled past the Spanish Oaks Gun Club and a play pond loaded with families playing and swimming. The campground is up a hill from all the hubbub so our stay was quiet and relaxing. The campsites were very well maintained, gravel parking for car or RV with grass and cemented area with picnic table and BBQ. Plenty of room to sent up a tent if needed. Sites are close together but separated by trees for privacy. We did not have any noise from the gun club or loudness from the play pond. ||The views were absolutely gorgeous. I guess there are a lot of rules as to what you can not do - but we didn't need to break any of those and didn't find them to be bothersome.||||There is also a huge pavillion just before the campground that you can sit and enjoy the view or rent out for parties. We were just passing through but it looked cool - huge BBQs tables and nice restrooms. There is a water spicket for campers and drinking fountains. ||||We were so hot sleeping in the car but we opened all the doors and the coolest nicest breeze came through at night saving us! We weren't bothered by critters or bugs - though there are mosquitos and snakes and little things running around (it is a campground)!||||Overall the campground was a great find and we would stay again if we come back to the area. There is also so much to do for the kids and of course, the gun club if you...
Read moreNice campground but the camp host we had this week is a maniac. Constantly driving her cart up to check on what’s going on back and forth all day. Our kids were being loud and when we realized it we quickly shut down their activity. Instead of asking us to quiet our kids or see what was going on she went straight to the cops for a bunch of kids telling scary stories in the dark. To add to all of this mayhem there is only 1 other family camping here and they are BURNING a fire in a no fire camp ground and she hasn’t even checked on them or asked them to stop. The stress of her breathing down our backs the whole week...
Read moreThis campground is great. It's clean, and most of the sites are a decent distance away from each other with trees in between them. Lots of reviews mention a terrible camp host; however, that one must be gone, because the current host (Logan) is awesome. Very friendly and helpful. The only thing I see as being a potential negative for some campers is that it seems quiet hours are not really enforced. There was a big group there during my stay that was quite noisy until about midnight. If that's something that would bother you, well here's your warning. If not, I highly...
