We really enjoyed our stay in Springdale at Hotel De Novo. The town is really cute, clean and the hotel is 9 shuttle stops away from the entrance to Zion National Park. We flew into Las Vegas, rented a car and drove the 2.5 hours to Springdale -the hotel has free parking for their guests, but parking anywhere else in town is limited.| I loved the decor and furniture in the rooms. Everything was modern and clean. The room was a great size and the bed was super comfortable. You have to walk outside to get to the main building to get coffee or tea in the morning if you don't want to use the coffee maker in the room (my husband and coffee loving friends did not like the coffee provided by the hotel and had to drive to get coffee in morning). I enjoyed sitting in the hotel lobby with my tea in the morning because the view is amazing and the lobby was comfortable and inviting. All the staff at the main desk were very nice and welcoming - some much more knowledgeable about the area and adventures than others. In planning my trip, I worked with Arnold from Hotel De Novo's sister hotel, Cliff Rose. Arnold is a busy person but is very helpful. He will send you an extensive email with itinerary options and everything was spot on. ||The only con I have is with the hotel restaurant, Anu, and it's regularly delayed opening in the morning. Getting breakfast at 7:00 am sharp, when the restaurant was supposed to be open, was important for the timing of everything else we had planned each day. We were told "the chef had not shown up yet" on two occasions. The one morning we waited until 7:15 and were able to place a to-go order. The other morning we just left because we had to get to our tour. The last morning we didn't even bother with trying to get hotel breakfast and went to a coffee shop down the street. We are Hilton Diamond members and one of our perks is a $30 breakfast credit. We were not able to get breakfast from the hotel due to the restaurant not opening on time. ||Other than that, the hotel was awesome, Springdale was sooo cute, hiking in Zion was beyond incredible, hiking in Bryce Canyon was like being on another planet, and Peekaboo Slot Canyon in Kanab UTV tour was great (we used Expedition Kanab company - recommended by Arnold at...
Read moreOverall, we had a very pleasant time staying at this brand new Tapestry hotel. The location was conveniently located around a five minute drive to the entrance of Zion. ||We booked a King Room, but due to our Diamond status and it being low season, we were upgraded to a King Suite! The Suite was spacious, consisting of a living room, a separate bedroom, and a very large bathroom. The suite also had a super large balcony, with comfy cushioned chairs with a view of the canyon. For us, the only real negative of the room was the sound level. The walls and floors seem to be quite thin. We were able to hear the conversations in the room below us, as well as their TV. We stayed at this hotel two different times on our trip, and noticed it in both rooms we stayed in. The AC/Heat is also a little noisy as well, one night we just turned it off completely as to not hear the sound. ||The lobby is located in it's own building, and every staff member we encountered at the front desk was helpful and very friendly! As part of our Diamond membership, we were offered $15/per person to be used on food, etc. I wish that instead of the money, we were offered a free breakfast, or just received points instead. The attached restaurant offers a very limited dinner menu, and closes early at 8pm. We couldn't go to breakfast either because we had to check-out early and breakfast doesn't begin until 8am. It seemed quite late to open, esp. considering that in this area many people start their mornings early to set out on hikes, etc. Also, if we had stayed for breakfast the choices were very limited and heavy (eggs and steak) with prices starting at $15 and above for any item. Maybe offer some lighter choices, like oatmeal? Baked goods? etc. The staff did let us use our $15/person towards the small market located in the lobby, so were able to at least redeem it that way.||Overall, a very nice, new, Hilton property. If we are in the area, we would definitely return, we just hope a few things may be...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK HERE! My family booked three nights to stay at this location through Expedia. Unfortunately due to extremely unexpected storm the roadway to get to this location was completely shut down. We had no knowledge of the storm within the 48 hour cancellation policy, although we did contact over 24 hours in advance to cancel. The hotel not only refused to credit us back our money they also refused to allow us to speak to a manager. The staff was extremely rude and actually stated that they are in a rural area and they depend on these types of cancellations to make their money they further told me it wasn’t their problem the road was closed. Expedia who also was unsuccessful of speaking with a manager stated that even though there’s a 48 hour cancellation policy that any hotel that partners with them needs to be aware that weather issues that we are not in control of does happen and believes we should’ve been refunded. I will never consider staying at this location again. As you can see by the owners rude and inappropriate response, again I would not recommend staying at this location. Instead of reaching out to customers with an issue this company would rather make inappropriate remarks to online reviews. Just for the reference we had to do a charge back from my credit card company just to receive any funds back. I filed a claim with the BBB and Majestic View Lodge's owner actually stated in the resolution that they will not refund us until we deleted our negative reviews. The BBB told us that is fraud and stated we should escalate our claim to a state agency. I did not file any further claims only because our credit card found the claim in our favor and charged back. Not one person on this staff was bullied, as a matter of fact the owner was extremely unprofessional and never spoke with me directly. They edited their first completely...
