I love going to this place when my ol lady brought Me here I felt like I was in heaven if I could stay an entire month I would every vacation we go on at the end of it I'm normally tired and just ready to go but here it's just heaven I don't want to leave I want to live here. The first time we ever came my ol lady got to ride I believe it was jw or jd I think I had star was her name it was alot of fun the general manager is the most outgoing fellow I have ever met always happy and cheerful upbeat and positive we were there today but with had to leave with the hurricane coming in and it was a good thing we did they closed all the roads down but if I could have I would have been Kayaking through the campground. But he did give us our money back for the short visit we weren't scheduled to leave until Monday. Overall calling something family with you greatest experience is definitely here. At SPRINGMAID MOUNTAIN RETREAT.

Beautiful campground. They have cabins which is where they must make their business along with horse stuff. We were tent camping and got a campsite and were the only ones on the campground Thursday and Friday. Not a sole. The bathrooms should be cleaned every day and the showers were in desperate need of a hosing down. I get not cleaning them if you have no bookings but if guest are present they should be clean. Especially tent guests who will use it. But other than the bathroom it was beautiful. They have access to the river, which is clean and beautiful and you can rent tubes and walk a trail down and out on and float down. Truly beautiful grounds here, which makes me sad that I have them 4 stars. I would have given 5 stars if the camping bathrooms and showers were clean. Really the showers need attention. We will stay again, maybe they were running a small crew because it was early June but who knows.

Love this place! They operate as an "open campus" allowing anyone free use of their land, even if you're not a staying guest! Hike, fish, even horseback trail ride

I've made so many memories through the years at Springmaid Mountain, and I cherish each and every one. Their prices are reasonable, and occasional deals on their already great rates are now being offered. The staff is amazing (big shout-out to Joe, who has been a constant friendly face for so long that seeing him feels like visiting a loved relative!) I have never had anything less than a stellar experience during my stays in both their charming cabins, as well as their enchanting campground. Most of the sites are perfectly spaced and secluded for privacy, and the facilities are clean and tastefully decorated in a beautiful rustic style. Their horses are well-behaved and friendly, and the great care they are given are reflected in their health and attitudes. Just know before you go that Springmaid Mountain is addicting, and there is no such thing as only...
