"Good night. Great savings." Well...at least they were honest. Not a great night, but the savings though. Even the savings weren't that great. Cheaper than other hotels closer to Saint Cloud, but we also reserved somewhat last minute so the price of this room was actually more than a nicer hotel would have been had we booked more in advance. Approximately $130 for one night in a room with two queen beds. I'll leave the topic of price with this, it could have been more in tune with the overall value of what the inn provided. The accommodations honestly don't even deserve one star, maybe half a star at best. The room we stayed in was a non-smoking room, though I'm not sure if the entire inn is non-smoking because it smells as though it has been heavily doused in cigarette smoke. I understand that most places used to allow smoking in all rooms, however many of those places have also changed the carpets and drapes sometime within the last thirty years. Our room was quite ripe and left myself, my fiance, and my son with sore throats after our one night stay. We were all coughing and sneezing almost non-stop by morning, this was an unpleasant side effect of having stayed at the Rodeway. The service at the desk was fine, not much to comment on and we didn't have any requests during our stay so checking in and checking out were our only interactions with the staff. I will say that vacuuming the halls could have waited until after the hour of 9 AM, but they've got a job to do as well I suppose. We were a little confused about the checkout time, it was stated differently in several different places. I think the checkout time was 11 AM but that is still left to be determined, and by someone other than myself because I won't be staying here again. They don't need a card on file for the room, which is fine, but they also didn't request us to sign anywhere upon charging us for the room which was odd. Not my business, hopefully that works out for them. I felt a little nervous parking my car in their lot as the area didn't appear to be the type where people don't experience break-ins, but everything was fine and dandy by morning time. Lastly, we found a cockroach skittering across the wall of the room. He was much more approachable in photographs after giving him a top hat and a bow tie, he was a classy cockroach then! But in person he was rather unsightly. I acknowledge that many places have bugs as it is hard to keep nature outside, but there is a reason that roaches stick around and it certainly isn't due to cleanliness. Overall, I'm dissatisfied with our stay at the Rodeway Inn but it was about what one would expect from a place like this. My fiance did comment that it looked slightly nicer in the photos, so be prepared for a little letdown when you arrive. Also, watch out for bugs. I squashed this one, but there are likely many more where he came from.

Stayed off and on due to work for around 2 months, so I had the joy of getting a feel for every room in the building except the owners sleeping quarters. This may be the worst Rodeway Inn I've ever had the misfortune of staying at, I'm astounded that Choice Hotels actually allows this place to be a part of it's network. The staff is extremely rude, in particularly the overweight old Indian lady who lives on-site. The air conditioners in every room are ancient and barely work in the rooms that they work at all in. Several of the padded chair springs (in the rooms that even have a chair) have completely given way from age and use. Several rooms smell sour and moldy due to the ancient bathtubs leaking under the floors and the tubs also feel like you are walking on a waterbed because of all the leakage that's being held under them. It's remarkable the establishment isn't condemned as any updates were done surface level just to hide the dangerous health risks most likely growing in the ceilings, walls, and floors. Also the owner very vehemently despises animals, he will even go out of his way to make a scene over service animals, even going so far as to scream and yell at patrons saying they are not welcome he's not screwing up his business for them and their pets service animal or not. Frankly I wouldn't let a dog stay in the accomodations this business offers much less humans. You're probably better off staying elsewhere in the area or maybe even in your vehicle instead.

Nasty nasty nasty!!! The rudest owners I've ever come in counter with! I called Letting them know I wasn't going to be arriving until around 11:00 at night they said that was fine however obviously it was not fine because I got there and I got treated very poorly the guy was talking in his language slamming doors he put me in a dirty Room when I went down there to let him know is dirty he said that he would fix it in the morning I asked him to switch me rooms he said he did not have any more rooms with a Queen bed I told him I'm employee out of state and my rate Doesn't matter it's whatever is available so if he has something else available he needs to assign me that Room that's clean However he assigned me another Room with the same bed so he lied Then I went and asked them for a another blanket and he said just turn the heat up He wore his pajamas everywhere very unprofessional I would rather stay outside in A-tent then stay here again!!! WORST HOTEL EVER!!!

The property is really the only hotel in this community. It is basic accommodation, but it is VERY clean -- and it definitely could use a renovation!||||Stayed here while attending a conference nearby. Two of us were going to share a room. My roommate had called several weeks earlier and was told that when we checked out the bill could be split between us -- each of us paying one night. When I arrived, I was told I had to wait to check in until she arrived --since the room had been booked in her name. I offered to pay for one night and said that she would pay for other when she arrived, but that was not acceptable. I finally just paid for the 2 nights so that I could get into the room since my roommate was not going to arrive for several hours. Apparently the charge was going to go on the card immediately -- not at the end of our stay. ||||The room smelled "stale". We ended up using the air conditioner to both cool the room and to just get some air movement in it to get rid of the stale smell. Opening the window was an option, but not a good one as there is a busy gas station just behind the hotel. ||||B'fast was basic. 2 cold cereal choices , a few small containers of yogurt, bread to toast and a waffle maker. There were some packaged danish rolls (the kind you buy in bulk all individually packaged). There was coffee and 4 juice choices. ||||Shower head was wonderful!!! Fan also worked VERY well in the toilet/shower. Towels were thread-bare as was the bathmat, but they did the job.||||TV channel selection -- plenty! ||||Walls were thin. We could hear the TV in both of the adjoining rooms. The mattress was firm ... and with the air-con running through the night, we both slept very well! ||||Room key card worked sporadically. Sometimes it would open it on the first try, sometimes we had to put it in 5 or 6 times before we got the 'green light' to open the door. Several of our colleagues had trouble entering the hotel late at night because their key card would not let them in and they had to ring the bell and wait for someone to come. We both were in early enough that this was not a problem for us personally. ||||So a bit of a mixed review. Given we really just needed a place to sleep and have b'fast, this...

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. My husband is a diamond member. We stayed two nights at this location. We wanted a thirty minute late check out to load our things for a long trip back to Georgia and to safely load our baby girl and Autistic son. My husband was loading our things and I was waiting for help with our two children and the rest of the stuff. To safely make the trip to the car I needed his help. Both the housekeeper and the manager kept hounding me as I tried to explain we were leaving. They started asking us to leave 30 mins before check out and hounded me ten minutes after. after. My husband had to carry the stuff and I had to risk holding my daughter and my son all the way to the car. It was a horrible stay anyway but I was not going to complain. We found a roach crawling up the wall. I didn't complain despite it. The management and housekeeping are rude. He was too worried about what he pays the house keeper (20 per hour) and him not being able to afford it than my son's safety. My son is nonverbal. He is severely autistic. He has sensory processing disorder. We have a disability tag because he elopes. It was very dangerous to carry my one year old daughter and six year old child to the car. They would not give me time for my husband to come back. We had to finish properly loading our things at the gas station next door to keep other travelers and ourselves safe. This establishment is too worried about their profit instead of the loyalty and safety of customers. We have had hundreds of stays all over the United States and this location was by far the worst location. Not only did they (both a male and a female separately) confront me alone without my husband but in front of my two children. My son is weary of other people and this caused him to be upset. It made it more difficult to carry both my children to our truck. I have a pleasant in this town but not at this hotel. My husband travels all over the country due to his business. We could afford to pay the house keeper the extra 20 for 15 minutes if need be. There was no need to risk my children and to harass so badly over 20 dollar housing...
