Well unfortunately we had to come stay here in an emergency situation. We had just lost our home and everything in it. We called ahead n booked for 2 nights we were quoted 120.00 plus taxes for the 2 nights. We get there they had no reservations for us they said for two nights. Then the man tells us oh yes there's your name but there was only one night books supposedly so he told me to come back the next morning and he would leave a note for the day shift and they would correct it for us I ended up paying $97 for that night ended up they never got me for my reservation what I was quoted I ended up paying $450 for three nights . There was nothing special about this motel it wasn't nice there was no swimming pool nothing for you to do on site at all it was dark and gloomy and it stunk. The first night there I go to get in my room and a drunk woman tries to attack me and my fiance the second night I go to hang my dog leash up by the light and a dirty needle falls to the ground. So when I went to the front desk to complain about what had happened to us with the woman from the night before and then the needle also the next night she then told me that my smoke detector had been going off in my room and asked me if I had been smoking in there. I told her no I had not been smoking in my room I was smoking outside my room. It seems that as soon as I mentioned the woman trying to attack us and the dirty needle that fell from the light fixture she decided to get a complete attitude with me and started picking on me. For the three days we ended up being there our room was not touched One Time by the cleaning staff I had to go look for them to get a clean house I brought them the dirty ones I had to go get trash bags for our room they never once knocked on the door to see if I needed anything. It just seems that as soon as I told the day shift people what the problems was that I had there they were on the defensive and started to attack me for no reason. The last day that we were there we went ahead and started to pack to get ready to get out and we get a phone call from the front desk stating that we had our smoke sensor going off again and neither one of us were smoking at all as a matter of fact our cigarettes were out in our vehicle at the time. The young lady then in fact told us we couldn't rent from them anymore. Not once had she come down to look in our room to see if we had smoked not one time and just accused of this. Come on read between the lines I went up there and made a fuss about a woman and a dirty needle and I got treated like s* what is this world coming to. That's fine for that amount of money I could have stayed at the Holiday inn which in fact I went right afterwards and they never had a problem with me smoking in a room because I don't and would never. Other than that I would say don't stay at this hotel unless you really just like to...
Read moreStarting off, we arrived to check in and the two women at the front desk were on the phone. The woman on the other end was yelling and screaming at the ladies clearly dissatisfied, so we hear them say "What should we do?" and one of them says "Hang up on them" and the other one listens to her and hangs up. The phone rings again, the lady picks it up and immediately hangs up the phone without a word coming out from the other end. One woman leaves the lobby, the other still remaining checks us into our room and gives us our key. We start to head up to the room, and were going to use the elevator since our room was on the third floor, but kids were holding the elevator on the second floor while screaming at their mother. We eventually make it to the room, where the first smelled a giant wiff of cigarette smoke, after clearly seeing about 5 no smoking signs, and the woman at the desk also warned us not to smoke. The room was clearly sketch so we started to check out the room, in the bathroom there were two small towels with dirt stains and they look like they haven't been washed, the toilet stain had what looked like a cigarette burn on it, all outs expect two did not work at all so then we began to search the bed for bed bugs. The bedsheets were stained along with burns there was also urine stains on one of the beds, there was bugs and dirt on the floor, which also didn't look like it had been cleaned in a good amount of time. So, we go to tell the woman at the desk we are dissatisfied and would like a refund, upon the request of refund she said she can not provide a refund, but could let us see a new room. We get the new room key and head up to the new room, which was on the opposite side from the last room. We entered the room and it smelled slightly better than the last room, and we did a thorough inspection once again. On the bed once again was burns, along with the couch. The cabinets were wide open upon the entrance. None of the outlets were working, and one had a wax burn on it. Once again bugs on the floor. I can not say the bathroom looked any better, there was gum in the corner of the shower and multiple burns in the floor, towels were still absolutely disgusting and there was urine on the toilet. We came upon an odd thing, there was a roll of toilet paper that looks like somebody had created origami on, thank you for that sweet surprise. We went back down to refuse to stay in the room, as we didn't feel comfortable only because their room, but also because the surroundings of the building which we heard arguing outside the hotel. As we left, we all checked each others heads to be sure we didn't contract a disease or adopt any head pets. I found the origin spot of where THE LAST OF US began...at the Red Roof Inn PLUS+ in St. Louis, Missouri. Stay here...
Read moreThis is the second night in a row that I called ahead to this location and asked them specifically what the cost would be for one night with tax included and when I got here the front desk told me a completely different price. The first night I came I had to leave and figure out another place to stay because I didn't have the extra money. Tonight, luckily I had the extra 19 dollars they told me it would cost . Tonight I call them 30 minutes before I showed up and ask them how much the room would be for one night with tax included and told the lady the situation that had happened the night previously, she told me that because I'd only be here for less than 24 hours it would only cost $76. I wasn't able to put a room on hold because I don't have a credit card and that's what they require but she said as long as I was on my way there shouldn't be a problem with me getting a room. She said that regardless of if I got a room with a king-size bed or two double beds the price would be the same. And when I showed up it was a man and he told me the price was going to be $95. I told him exactly what had happened 30 minutes previous to me arriving and what happened the night before and he didn't care. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but because I'm waiting for my new apartment to be ready I've had to stay in different hotels and I've been in and out of the hospital so I haven't had a lot of extra cash. sorry for the long rant and Rave but I just want people to know that just because someone tells you something on the phone doesn't mean it's going to be the same price when you get here. The man that is working at the front desk right now also told me that the lady I talked to may have decided to give me a discount which is something she's not supposed to do but it just depends on the conversations that the employees have with the customer whether or not they want to give you a discount or not. He said that he even does that sometimes depending on the conversation he has with the customer and if he feels like a discount is warranted he will do it but technically they're not supposed to do that. Besides that he told me there was nothing he could do especially since he wasn't the one I previously talked to. Previous to this experience, I've never had any issues with Red Roof. The rooms are clean but walls are super thin and there are no...
