Gothic Heights Inn is truly impressive and a very unique stay! My husband and I both loved it! We stayed June 17th in the Riverfront Suite. From the moment we walked into the building we were extremely impressed. Everything looks exactly like the pictures, if not better. Most impressive is how clean it is. Even my husband said 'this place is spotless!' Truly, the cleanest place we have ever stayed. The Gothic doors and woodwork is drop-dead gorgeous! The historic stained glass windows are beautiful! The main floor is truly breathtaking. The kitchen had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Our queen bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was welcome after a long drive. There were so many little touches that put this stay over the top.....the bath salts, snacks, clean air machines (we have to get some of these, even though I told my husband our house will never be as clean as the GHI because we have a dog and a cat running around the house) and even duck food to feed the ducks at the neighborhood lake, along with a map showing where to find the ducks. The neighborhood is also very nice and welcoming. We walked around the neighborhood for over an hour after dinner and felt perfectly safe. By the way, the Italian restaurants in The Hill Neighborhood are only one mile away, so another easy and safe walk or short drive away. There is also a hot tub on the roof of the belltower. The weather was too warm for a hot tub, but it looked inviting and the view from the roof was wonderful....you can even see the St. Louis Arch in the distance. If you want a clean, comfortable, gorgeous, unique and safe place to stay in St. Louis....stay here, you won't...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gothic Heights Inn! Our accommodations were top notch and the hosts thought of absolutely everything! Special touches included gourmet coffee, hot tub towels, robes, plenty of bottled water and a plethora of toiletries in case you forgot anything. There were a variety of snacks and delicious help yourself breakfast items including fruit, yogurt and waffles. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with other family members who also stayed at the inn. The kitchen is very well stocked with state of the art appliances and plenty of dishes. Our bed was very comfortable and we loved the luxury bath! The unique space with the gothic architecture is absolutely stunning especially the stained glass and gorgeous woodwork. The tour given by our host Jesse was so very interesting and fill with so much history. There are numerous places to gather inside with several sitting areas and tables to play games or eat. There is a beautiful garden as well as a lovely patio which made sitting outside just delightful! The shared rooftop hot tub was the perfect nightcap with spectacular views of the city. I cannot say enough about this historical gem and we look forward to returning! I highly recommend staying here if you are desiring a unique and beautiful place filled with history in an...
Read moreMy wife and I had a great stay at this unique Inn! The architecture of this remodeled historic church is beautiful . The former sanctuary is now a peaceful “gathering space” where you can hang out with other guests, or retreat to your own quiet corner to relax. We loved the beautiful colors shinning through the stained glass windows left from the previous church—true works of art that create a peaceful mood.
We stayed in the Botanical Suite which was lovely with its own en suite with jacuzzi tub, and if that isn’t romantic enough, there’s a spa on the top of the bell tower with a 360 degree view of the St Louis skyline including the Arch. Breathtaking sunsets! I enjoyed the cool “secret garden” that adds to the gothic vibe.
Place was clean, in a quiet neighborhood close to restaurants, easy access to downtown and other attractions. Ken and Jessie were friendly and responsive hosts.
If you’re going to St Louis, this is a great place for a restful stay. Highly...
