I am very disappointed in my stay and feel neglected and undervalued as a customer. There were grease stains on the comforter, hair in the shower, on the toilet and between the sheets, layers of dust on surfaces including the TV and mini fridge, coffee rings on the hospitality tray and desk and maybe worst of all, damp carpeting all throughout the room, especially under the sink. I laid down a towel so my socks wouldn't get wet while I got ready for the day, and it immediately soaked through, revealing a brown, musty residue. It smelled dank and I was just generally grossed out, as well as concerned about potential mold and safety issues. I discussed with both the cleaning supervisor and the lady at the front desk how uncomfortable I felt and they immediately agreed the conditions of my stay were unacceptable, indicating to each other that the room "should be taken out of rotation." They said they would be refunding my payment as soon as they were able to speak with the manager that Monday. When I didn't hear back from them, I called the following week and asked to speak with the manager directly, but was told he was "a busy man" and unable to speak with me. I then followed up via email and still have received no response. I feel taken advantage of and cannot recommend this hotel, due to hygiene concerns and terrible customer service. Will never be returning again.

This is 100% worth it for its price! We were looking for somewhere to stay in St. Michael’s right near town that wouldn’t break the bank and then we came across this hotel which was priced great! I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the rooms were - no strange smell, no stains or spots anywhere, and a very clean bathroom. NO BUGS!!! There were no bugs at all. One thing that surprised me was that there is a heat lamp in the bathroom… was actually very nice after I got out of the shower! The curtains were nice and dark so I was able to sleep in without being woken up by sunlight. I only stayed one night, but it was a great stay! To note - they had “grab and go” breakfast bags because the occupancy was not big enough for a continental breakfast. Not a complaint however.

You get what you pay for. Unfortunately I didn’t verify the room my husband booked on the Thursday night prior to a wedding weekend at the Oaks (where thankfully we were staying for the majority of our trip), and I should have. At first glance, the place seems quaint, but at check in I noticed the invoice was $68 and that it was. The room (though it read clean) was filthy, from shmutz on the bathroom floor, to a thick layer of dust on the noisy refrigerator. Not to mention the water - it reaked of sulfur / rotten eggs. And though I refused to even brush my teeth using anything but bottled water, my husband took a shower which made the room absolutely stink. Basically as lovely as the people are, don’t stay here.

We had zero problem with this stay and would come back. Quite frankly some of the reviews for this motel are over the top dramatic and I think you need to keep in mind the price point when booking this motel. You're not going to get a five star Fours Seasons type luxury hotel for what your paying to stay here. Be realistic. It is an excellent value for service, cleanliness, and location.

The most important thing to me is cleanliness. The room was spotless. No bedbugs and the bathroom, towels and sheets were clean. Is the hotel dated in some regards? Absolutely, but again, the price point. Saying that, the carpet wasn't in the best condition, this seems to be a common complaint, but it was clean. The maid came around every day and left the our room cleaned.

This is a motel, so it's one level on ground level. Did a fly out two come in during our stay? Yes. This seemed to be a common complaint as well, but this is not the hotel's fault. This was a result of leaving the door open to unpack or whatever else. I'm sure flies come into your home unintentionally too and you wouldn't like people calling your home dirty. I think it's unfair to mark the hotel down for that. It's not like the room itself was attracting them as some of these reviews eluded to. There was a strong smell of sulfur when initially turning the faucet on or taking a shower, but this passed and did not linger.

We didn't get to use the pool because of the weather, but that looked well kept. We also didn't get to enjoy the free breakfast during our stay because we went right into town each morning, so I can't comment on that either.

The men in the lobby were kind and they shared their knowledge of the area with us. The location of this hotel is perfect. It's a three to five minute drive into town where parking is free.

I would stay here again. It's clean and...

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL BOOKING WITH THIS HOTEL. Expedia books the room, but hotel says, "We don't use Expedia." Well, how do they book the room??? And then, Cailin says, "Oh, well we didn't tell Expedia our cancellation policy. I just run the front desk." You charged me for a FULL STAY THREE DAYS BEFORE MY ARRIVAL!!!! She said, "Oh, that's a deposit." Uh, NO, YOU CHARGED THE FULL STAY! When I contacted Expedia they told me that the cancellation policy was PROVIDED TO THEM BY ST. MICHAEL'S INN." St. Michael's Inn says, "We didn't update them." But you just said "We don't use Expedia." Two sides of your mouth story there, right? Regardless, THE HOTEL CHARGED ME FULL PRICE THREE DAYS BEFORE MY ARRIVAL WHEN ALL OF MY PAPERWORK CLEARLY STATES NO CHARGES AND "Cancellation until 7:00 p.m. 7/18/24." So how did you charge me at "3:00 p.m. on 7/18/24 for a full stay?" Then you REFUSE TO PROCESS A REFUND WHEN I HAVE DOCUMENTATION THAT CLEARLY STATES NO CHARGES UNTIL CHECK IN. NOTHING ABOUT A DEPOSIT. NOTHING ABOUT A 7 DAY PRIOR CANCELLATION POLICY!! So beware -- they go against the policy stated on Expedia, charge you well in advance, and then refuse to refund. Sounds like they just want the money!!!!! I had two reservations for two separate weekends! Canceled them both. Will NOT REBOOK, WILL NOT REFER ANYONE AND WILL CLEARLY DISPUTE THE CHARGES WITH MY BANK AS I HAVE ALL THE PROOF I NEED THAT THEY VIOLATED THE POLICY I HAVE IN WRITING!!! Expedia was wonderful. The desk clerk Cailin was rude and refused to work with Expedia when they called her as well, while I was on hold!!! BEWARE...they are dishonest and talk through both sides of their mouth. Get your stories straight people. And UPDATE EXPEDIA!!!! Sad that you ruined my whole experience in the beautiful town of St. Michael's. ...

First impression from the outside was ..It looks nice.. motel like with a pool...|Second impression was "welcoming and very friendly , accommodating staff at front desk. Lobby was very nice with a coffee machine and nice furniture in the lobby.|Third impression was "yay! I got upgraded to a larger room". |And then reality set in...Walked in to the "upgraded room"....|No fire alarm! |No telephone !| Yes a larger room with king bed that was filled with mismatched furniture. I would not even put anything on one fabric chair that looked like it had been pulled in from the trash at curb. Another conference chair in disgusting green fabric and two wooden restaurant chairs at a table . Carpeting was disgusting. It was tattered and not clean. The walls had two and three plugs on every wall at random heights and wires going out of fridge and AC. Patched areas where wall plugs used to be. And now for the BEST...the toilet was the height of a toilet you would find in a preschool. |No grab bars in tub..disgusting rubber no slip mat in tub| Oh and bugs, flies and a weird smell...maybe it was sulfur. | Bottom line is this place could be a gold mine if it was freshened up with paint and new furniture and some lysol !!! It looks like it was put together with spare pieces from the thrift store. |Price for two nights $500.!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN|PS the coffee...
