Everything was great, but there was supposed to be food delivery to our rooms, but that ended up not being true? For breakfast we had to go down and get it, so we were expecting a buffet like most hotels. So we go down, and breakfast was actually just a blueberry muffin in a plastic bag, and a mini water bottle. Not even a nice blueberry muffin. I thought it was good because I really have a problem with junk food, but my older sister was not impressed. I admit that most people wouldn't like it unless they were as sugar addicted as I am 😂
Also, the pool situation was a little weird. This is during the corona epidemic, so only 10 people were allowed in at a time. My sister and her son went down to check things out since we had a reservation for the pool. I stayed in the hotel room though. After a few minutes, they came back in and said "You have to wear a mask the entire time." I agree people need to wear masks, but this is in water, so it was just a little odd.
In one of the drawers in our room, we found someone had left behind some old tooth paste in a plastic bag, which is kind of gross. But despite this, the rest of the hotel was very clean. Our room had a microwave and a refrigerator, but they were behind cabinets so we didn't even see them until we were leaving! The WiFi worked great too, and there was a list of all the channels for the tv, which was great for us because we were coming from a different state, so the channels were switched around for us.

Read moreSo unhappy with the experience I've had with La Quinta. Tried to check in around 4:00pm on the day of my stay before a wedding and was told that there was an issue with the credit card machine so I could not check in. Asked if it would be ok checking later that night and was told that was just fine.
Came back just after midnight to be told that my reservation had been cancelled due to an issue with the credit card and that there were no rooms available. Had to find a way of getting to a new hotel (which was a much higher price due to the fact that it was the weekend of Blessing of the Fleet Festival in RI and it was past midnight) at my own expense.
Customer experience was poor throughout the entire process. I did not receive word that my reservation would be cancelled and was only given the explanation that this is company policy. I even tried reaching out to the national help line and finally received an email from the branch manager letting me know that due to the fact that I missed the call that she was closing the complaint - mind you, I did not have any missed calls during that time period.

Read moreAt check in we were greeted with smiles and given our room cards. Room was clean and inviting.
Amenities were tv, phone, microwave and fridge. We do wish the TV to be much more updated. We would have loved to connected our apps to make it a much more pleasant evening and mornings. Fridge was not very cold. Microwave was also outdated. Not the end of the world of course.
Every day when we set out for our trips, upon coming back the room was cleaned and prepped. We were very happy with that. Clean fresh towels. Wonderful.
They have free breakfast which was stocked daily fresh. Warm and inviting. 6am - 9am.
Pool was ok. Plenty of towels stocked and about 7 or 8 lounge chairs. I hated the water . Super cold. My daughter had a blast though.
Ice machines on the first and third floors. Vending machine in the lobby along with a small store for minor purchases.
They have luggage carts available which was new to me. And very handy.
Check out was fast and again all the employees had friendly smiles.
