Booked this room for my birthday and because Im 8 months pregnant and wanted to soak in the hottub. Checkin and nobody says anything about the hottub being down - get to the pool get in the hottub ( I never use the jets because it stirs up chlorine ) and all is fine for hours. Notice the sign and send my partner to the desk to ask if its just the jets down as there wasnt any sign on the hottub or near it, just around the wall at the switch to turn the jets on. He comes back and says they told him the jets are down "until the guy comes tomorrow to fix it". Water was warm so we had our legs in and sat in it at some points while our kids swam in the pool. Someone even comes in goes into the pool maintence room does something that kicks the jets on for a moment and then they turn off and she leaves. We leave at 7 to eat dinner, come back about 830. Then 10 pm Holly comes in from the front desk to lock up the Pub that you access through the pool room. As shes leaving she stops behind the wall blocking the switch for the jet and nastily says "Did you not see the sign, that means its closed and you cant be in there, the bacteria levels and stuff" Scolding me like Im a child with the most condescending tone. Then as we leave the pool room shes talking about the situation at the desk to someone else and says "Oh well its not my problem" loud enough to be heard.
Thing is the hottub flows directly into the pool thru a hole that runs between the two and the two waters also continously mix because only a short water level wall seperates the hottub from the pool- so if the hottub is closed due to bacteria then the pool shouldnt of been open at all either.
The way I was talked to was totally inappropriate and unacceptable for hotel staff to treat a guest. We actually packed up all of our stuff except our dogs cage and left at 11pm and went home because I didnt feel welcome or safe there any longer. Plan was to return in the morning get breakfast and let my kids swim an hour, get the dog cage, talk to the hotel manager about Hollys rude behavior and go home.
We were leaving breakfast and walking back to our room and got off the elevator to find a cleaning man with pants down underneath his butt cheeks with no underwear on and my 11 yr old daughter had to see his bare behind. He then proceeded to walk down the hall and drop a towel 3 times and have to bend over and drop his pants more to pick it up. The entire time my daughter seeing his bare butt cheeks, crack and thighs. I called the front desk to be told, " thank you for letting me know". No apology, no we will handle it, nothing.
Dont bring your kids here, Im still contemplating calling the police and making a report about the man dropping his pants in front of my daughter because how did it happen 3 times accidently - why is an adult male at work with no underwear on and pants so big he cant let go of them or they fall...

If i could rate lower i absolutely would. Horrible from the moment we got there. The front desk girl named melissa was the worst person you could ever meet. Dhe obviously foesnt know how to do her job. Kept telling me one of my rooms wasnt paid for through booking and that i had to call them and fight booking. No, thats not how it works. When a customer pays online and the hotel has issue with payment the hotel contacts the booking site seeing as it is now an issue between the hotel and the site not the guest. She threatened to call the cops when i told her that. She never once told me it came through with our card but just didmt prepay, well hello stupid just run the card and it will be fine. Nooooo she wants to argue and yell at customers with a lobby full of kids, i had 3 kids with me.
So once we get to the rooms it gets worse, theyre nasty!!! The beds were like laying on bricks. It is a smoking hotel but they let smoking everywhere, no seperation like on different floors. Nope one non smoking room is right beside smoking rooms. So the entire hotel reeks and anyone with allergies or asthma like me needs to stay far far away or risk health issues. No vaccums there aparently. House keeping staff cant see dirt or hair to save their lives. I have pics of all this. The tubs were just eww. The one looked like there was spots of dried blood. Soap scum all over them. So of corse i go down and complain to the same girl who hates her life. All she did was change one of my rooms. Noe at this ppint im livid. We were im a different state to see someone in the hospital and its 10pm. If i couldve left and found somewhere else i wouldve, but we had driven hours and spent the day in the hospital.
The next morning i ask to talk to the managwr only ti be met with yet another rude front desk woman. Once the manager did get there and i tell her about all this and that we want refunded she laughs in my face, litterally laughs, and tells me tough she refuses to do anything. Oncr i finally had enough and tell them if they acted like this where i worked theyd be fired because that is not wyndham standards she asks where i work, not thinking i tell her. Not 5 minutes after i walk out the door the manager is calling my place od inployment demanding to know if i work there and trying to get me in trouble!!

Read moreWe stayed at the Ramada in Strasburg, Ohio on October 10, 2025 (Room 214), and it was one of the most disturbing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.||||While the front desk staff were polite upon check-in and trying their best, the condition of the property was absolutely unacceptable. The entire building smelled like mold, stale cigarettes, and something chemical — almost like some kind of burning substance. The hallways were thick with the odor of marijuana coming from other rooms, and there were strange noises and activity from guests nearby that made us feel uneasy and unsafe.||||Inside our room, things were no better. There were stains and splatters of a red substance on the walls, a tic-tac-toe game drawn in pen or marker, and dirty curtains covered in dark stains. The overall cleanliness was appalling. In the hallway, we saw dead cockroaches, and the air just felt musty, and heavy||||This location desperately needs a deep cleaning and an inspection by health and safety officials. It’s shocking that this place still carries the Ramada name. I would never stay here again do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.||We attempted to discuss with the front desk as we left an entire day early and paid for a different hotel that appeared in much better condition. Sadly, the staff person at the desk when we left (9am on 10/11) was of no help she essentially shrugged said that’s the policy (that we couldn’t discuss a refund or credit) and management wasn’t there. She didn’t even offer to message or speak with management. Do yourself a favor spend your money elsewhere! Include the picture my 6 year old took of one of the many roaches we...
