I hesitate to write this review since I have always absolutely loved the Blue Ridge Parkway. The scenery is breathtaking, and one of the most peaceful places you will ever find. So, it saddens me greatly to see its neglect - not only by public disinterest, but by the National Park Service. The road is in disrepair with holes and broken pavement. On our last visit (May 20, 2018) the right-of-way had not been mowed in quite some time, and grass was knee high (or higher). Sadly, the campground was no different. Location on Blue Ridge Parkway was great. Stop at Tuggles Restaurant just north of the campground to get your food, ice and drinks before going into the campground. ...
