Hilltop is a beautiful camp ground, my family and I have been camping here for years. I am really curious on what has happened to the camping community. I went early Friday to reserve a site, paid and put the stub showing I had paid. When we got to the site a family was there and our stub was gone. They had no remorse or empathy for what they did and the man took off his shirt, trying to threaten my husband. Luckily there was one spot available that opened last minute and we were able to camp there. As I am writing this the group behind us are being very loud and inconsiderate at 12 am. You go camping to get away from the city and enjoy nature. If you are going to be up all night drinking stay home and go to a bar!! I feel sorry for the children being raised by parents who think it’s ok to steal someone’s campsite they already paid for. It’s sad. People also drive fast around the campsite where children are playing. We wont be...

Lovely campground, HOWEVER we had to abandon our trip because the group in the 2 sites below us were doing some kind of a childrens campout with around what seemed like 20 small children who began at the crack of first light to be doing what kids do: running around playing screaming making it impossible to sleep, they did not observe quiet hours at all. having arrived late due to our work schedules we go very little sleep and found we could not have peace, they were everywhere , we were surrounded by them even into the day. it more of less ruiined our special planned birthday campout and much needed rest and rejuvenation, and long awaited gettaway, we came home early and were exhausted and very dissapointed. never to desire to camp with the public again. sadly the hosts were wonderful upon check in but not arround to monitor the noise or make a complaint to. I would never go again on a weekend. go when kids are in...

We spend a lot of time up here at Hilltop! It was just renovated 2019-2020 so everything is new and trimmed and beautiful! The elevation is about 8,400 feet so it stays so nice and cool and the views are fantastic! There are 35 sites with grills and fire pits with grills so lots of cooking space. They have single sites for up to 8 people with one picnic table for $19 per night. The double sites give you two picnic tables and you can have up to 16 people in your site and that's for $45 per night. And, you can stay for up to 14 nights! Dogs are welcome and must always be on a leash which is so nice so you feel safe walking your own dog! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it is primitive camping so there's no water in the campground (like water spigots, sinks in the bathrooms or flushing toilets). For a primitive campground, I do...

Las Vegas Local! This place was great! There were people around so we felt safe. Yet there was space so we had privacy. We saw a campground deer. The campground was clean and so were the bathrooms. We brought our dog. We used a tent and had a nice place to put it with a great view of the mountains and the valley. The grill was great cooked us up some hamburgers. We also used the firepit, and picnic table. I had not one complaint. Thank you!

Absolutely love camping here! We've been here quite a few times and this was the first with my 2 year old daughter and she loved it! Quiet camping and the sites are not too close together. The only downfall was the restrooms which used to have running water and were well maintained, but now they are porta pottys and were absolutely disgusting. Other than that it is beautiful and the views are stunning!

Hey, so we took the kids to Mt. Charleston for a quick camping trip from North Las Vegas – about 45 minutes away. We found this cool spot, Hilltop, last year; it's got a toilet but no sink, but the views are amazing and it's so much cooler than the city. We grilled out and slept in our rooftop tent, but it got down to 49 degrees in June, so we left before sunrise. We'll definitely go back!
