We stayed at the schoolhouse for a company retreat this past week, and although it is a well-renovated space, we had one of the worst experiences in terms of hospitality due to one of the owners named Dean.
Over halfway through our stay we were called, and apparently, there was the assumption that we would not use the downstairs bedrooms and were going to only share the suites even though we rented the entire home. The owners didn't provide a contract for our stay (even though we requested this) and did not document what they previously approved us for. Regardless, we agreed to provide the extra money they requested at first, even though the husband called our team "brainless" over the phone for their internal miscommunication.
After the owners showed up that night in-person and came into the house without notice/permission throughout the stay (and going into people's rooms to check where they were staying), we decided we weren't going to agree to the extra $1,500 request due to the inconvenience and the lack of professionalism.
The morning we were checking out, Dean started harassing and cussing at our staff while they were packing up to leave and rushing us to check out starting at about 7:30 AM Sunday, even though we had the place rented until 10 AM. It was an awful experience and it was an unfortunate way to end our otherwise great retreat in the beautiful...

This was our home base for a long weekend of riding dirtbikes. The location lends itself to some great trail riding right out the door. Having a massive kitchen/dining area to hang out in was perfect. The host was kind, friendly and prompt with our needs. I’d highly recommend this place for large and...
Read moreGreat building, but if you're going to stay here - get something in writing on what you're renting, and deal with Al Einberger. Our otherwise perfect 4-day stay in Nemo was soured by hostility and harassment from Dean Osland. We appreciated Al trying to make peace, but would not...
