Whatever this place may have been in the past, it is no longer worth it. Just go to one of the nicer hotels 15min down the road. ||Pros: Affordable||||Cons:||-We booked 4 nights and the toilets backed up etc.... couldn't use the sinks or shower. They said they would call a plumber and and what that means is they got one of their teenage sons to go dig out the drainage hose out back and drain it out onto the parking lot.....Is that even legal???||-We ended up going to another hotel for the 2nd night and the management decided that it was thus ok to go ahead and book new residents for our new room. Little did they know that we still had our stuff in the rooms that we still legally had right to because we were still paying for them! The management tried telling us to take our stuff out because they had "accidentally" double booked our room. We of course said no because we were planning on staying there the next night anyways once the toilet etc. were supposedly fixed.||-We had an extra cot for our third member of the group and they took it without telling us when we were out hiking for the day and their reasoning was "Someone will end up on the floor if you don't give it to us." Well, that means we ended up on the floor....obviously they can't do math because by taking a cot from one person and giving it to another doesn't mean suddenly everyone has a bed. You are still short a cot!||-The manager change our toilet paper at 11pm! She walked in and was smoking (not a normal cigarette...definitely something else). We got headaches because the smell wouldn't go away for another day and it was so strong and she woke us up just to change toilet paper when we didn't need a change...||-no real parking and they kept putting stuff on our car like it was a bookshelf. We have a new car so we did not appreciate this. ||||In all, if you want to feel like you're in a handmade junk home built by teenagers trying to make an extra buck who actually never installed real sewage then this is the place. One night is ok and the bed wasn't terrible though our sheets had cum on them so we put our own sheets on. However, multiple...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE. I try to be honest and fair with my Google reviews and this may be the ONLY 1 star review I've left, but this place either needs to step up their hospitality game or change Management. We had friends that stayed here, so we didn't read any reviews and just asked them. They said it was ok for $60. We booked and showed up before dinner for check in. We were greeted with Staff and promptly told that it was "cash only" because their CC machine was down. I let her know we don't travel with much cash, but had dinner plans and needed to drop some things in the room and would visit a bank in town and pay upon our return after dinner. Over and over she told me this wouldn't work and she wouldn't check us in without cash payment and that the CC machine being down and lack of letting us know to prepare for cash only was "not her fault". So far, 0 in the Hospitality dept. I cooled off a bit, called another hotel to see about booking there while my Wife found every last dollar we had so that we could check in and keep our dinner plans. Coming back I have her the cash and then she tells me that because of COVID-19, there are no towels or toilet paper in the room and she'd bring it when she saw us return and she'd also collect another $10 cash for the pet fee. Dinner was fine and we grabbed a wad of TP in case she didn't show up... Which she didn't... Ever. So there's the lack of Hospitality. The room... As I said, no TP at all and no towels at all. Human hair found on the soap shelf, floor, and pillow case. Several burned out or missing lightbulbs. Pillows were terrible. Mattress was bad. Smelled like serious mildew in #9. All in all, stay at Hotel Magma for $150/night or go to Globe until this hotel gets its...
Read moreThis place was so horrible that we decided to drive home 3.5 hours rather than stay there, despite having already paid for the nights stay in advance.
On arrival, the place looked sketchy and run down. But we're not usually too fussy, especially just for 1 night. There was no one there to check us in, just a sign on the door to call a number. After a few mins a lady appeared from the door. She couldn't speak English, but gestured towards the sign, and then went back inside. We called the number and a lady said she would be back in 5-10 mins. When she arrived back we were assigned a room around the back and given the key. There were a lot of people hanging around outside the rooms and the whole situation just felt a little sketchy. The room was dirty and run-down. The bathroom appeared particularly unclean and there was evidence of rodents and bugs on the floor. The 'curtains' were pieces of black cloth held together with a clip from the hardware store. The attached photos will attest.
We decided after a while that we didn't want to spend the night in these conditions. After checking other hotel/motel availability in the aera and coming up short, we took the decision to drive all of the way home instead of sleeping here. We needed to be back in the area the following day for an event, so basically added 6 hours of driving to avoid staying here. I figured I would try to claim back the $112 via Booking.com. I received $37 credit to my account. So we're $75 down plus gas, Still, better than staying the night in this dump.
TLDR: Avoid...
