Technically speaking, I have never visited this cafe when it was Bella's Cafe. Myself and my mother used to own a clothing store in Superior when I was a child (which was a continuation of a video store we owned in Florence that was actually named after a black cat we owned at the time named Bella, go figure), and it was operated out of this very same building. Hearing that you guys have successfully turned it into a cafe that's scoring some amazing review scores on Google brings a smile to my face. I have no immediate plans to return to Superior anytime soon, nor do I have access to transportation to get there, but if I ever do, I will definitely make sure to stop by and visit. It'd be nice to see the town of Superior again. It'd honestly be amazing to see the old building again. I've heard nothing but positive things about this place, and just seeing those 110+ 5-star reviews, that's good enough for me to drop a 5-star. That's a HUGE accomplishment for a little cafe located in what used to be a VERY poor town for business growth (hence why I left 11 years ago and haven't been back since). I'm glad folks like you came along and revived the...
Read moreOn our way to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, we stopped in a little town called Superior, what a quaint place! Even though most of the stores were closed, we stumbled upon a charming café called Bella’s. What a gem!
The owners are from New York, and they moved to this small town because she loves to hike , and what a perfect spot for that! The Superstition Mountains are absolutely beautiful.
Now, back to the café , the food was amazing! I had a French dip and some meatballs (both delicious!), and my boyfriend had a turkey focaccia sandwich. Everything was so flavorful and fresh.
Their son, William, was working there , such a friendly guy! He’s also a singer in a band called Sleeper Signal (you can find them on Spotify , definitely worth checking out!).
After lunch, we walked around town and really enjoyed the laid-back vibe. It was such a pleasant day. If you’re ever nearby, stop in Superior and visit Bella’s, you won’t be...
Read moreThis is a pocket of paradise in a little town! I've had the pleasure of eating at Bells's several times, and I've never been disappointed. This restaurant is very popular at lunch time, be prepared to wait which is worth it, but while you wait, there are stalls with home-made goods and art to keep you occupied. My vegan friend loved her Avocado Toast, she said it was fresh, the balsamic reduction was spot on and the presentation was impressive. Both times I ordered the Ruben, I found the pastrami to be delicious and I enjoyed my sandwich, although mine was served in a paper lined plastic basket compared to her avocado toast being served on a plate. There is outside seating, and on one Saturday afternoon, there was live music. This is not fancy, the potato chips come in bags, the food is served in plastic trays, but the owner and the staff are friendly, and the lunches are satisfying...
