Surfside Marina and Marine Service Center — Hotel in Surfside Beach

James Bond here I go by a google name. Yes I had the worse experience imaginable. If you are the owner , well this place is jacked up. Take in for seals and water pump. Then all bolts loose , o ring under impeller , water in oil after one trip . Oil plug bolts loose( hopefully that’s were water came from not scratched shaft), I finally did water pump myself. After pics and videos santos tries to convince me everything was done correctly. That was a crazy conversation. I show him milky water and says all was done right show him pics bad water pump job he says all was done right. All I wanted was a refund and I wouldn’t b here. Santos didn’t want budge. Offered all the free gear box oil though. I guess I’ll need that for every trip I might b doing a oil change since water most likely getting in. Call Dan he won’t answer my calls anymore. Absolutely the worst, incompetent boat mechanics I've ever come across. My boat was in their possession for five and a half months, cost me $5,500. When I picked it up, my 2 starting batteries were dead, power steering was lost and Jack Plate froze! These people said they test drove my boat before I picked it up. They lied! Have no idea why they treated me this way, I'm just trying to pass on the heads up to the next unsuspecting boater in need. STAY AWAY!!!

FOLLOW UP: a good employee named Santos tried to smooth things over, but apparently his boss or the rest of the crew dropped the ball and made no attempt to fix the problem, in fact, was kind of insulting with his attempts to contact me. I will take my boat to another shop and have them fix what Surfside...

I spent a couple years in Surfside, and kept my boat at Surfside Marina. I cannot speak highly enough about Santos and the crew. I consider every person there a friend. They constantly go above and beyond. Santos is OCD in his management of the marina, and expects the best from everyone. Service was a great experience with Manuel, Lance, DJ, Sam, Brandon, Dillon, and the rest of the guys. They were patient with me, and always taught me something new. The dock staff Tracy, John, Pedro, Edwin, Scooter, Turkey, Shawn, Capt K, Shane, Terry and the rest of the guys are top notch.(I apologize I forgot a couple names.)
