We stayed at "Se Forever" from 06/15/2024 - 06/28/2024. In my opinion, this particular home is not rental ready. There was issue upon issue. While the office was quick to respond to my concerns, some were not fixable and I am certain we over paid for the rental. Upon arrival, the dune at the end of the walk over was completely overgrown and we had to wait 2 days for the landscaper to come out an weed whack down the overgrowth. In addition the walk over is just inches off the ground (all neighboring homes have walkovers that are elevated feet off the ground). In speaking to the neighbors, we found out why; there is various wildlife living in the dunes. This includes snakes, rattlesnakes! And we did see them! Thankfully, the neighbor allowed us to use his walkover because as he put it "that just isn't safe for anyone". The home is musty! It wasn't until the second week that we figured out the standing machine in the dining area is a dehumidifier and definitely needed in this house. The water is extremely iron rich and your laundry and skin will turn orange upon using it! The television in the main bedroom had an inoperable Amazon Fire Stick and that took a few days to be replaced by a Roku. The home has cockroaches! The office told us they were wood roaches and completely normal for the area. They came out an put down traps and gave us a can of spray. That fly swatter under the kitchen sink isn't for flies! The traps and spray did not make them go away and we took a picture of one and upon looking them up, come to find out they are "American Cockroaches" , not Wood Cockroaches. Again, in speaking to the neighbor he told us they are common in the area but not in your home so long as you have regularly scheduled pest control. Which this house obviously does not. There was a small tropical storm while we were there and as a result, there was significant standing water under the home. This led to two issues: accessing the steps to get in the home and mosquitos. I asked the office to figure something out so we could get into the home without stepping in the insect infested water but they said it would take a few days. We didn't want to be trapped in the home and therefore, my husband had to go to Home Depot in Lake Jackson (about a 40 minute drive) to get cinder blocks to use as stepping stones. Then came the mosquitos. I know mosquitos are common but this was insane. To go to the car, you were covered in them. They covered every inch of you! Millions of them! The office said that they couldn't do anything about it an directed us to Dollar General to get some yard spray and said that coffee grinds were useful too. If the poor drainage under the home was addressed, there wouldn't have been so many mosquitos. Overall, it was not a pleasurable rental and I definitely do not recommend!

We stayed at "Pete's Retreat" and really loved it. We were there for a week and experienced no issues. Booking was easy and everyone was super friendly. I was charged extra for something and they were quick to let me know and refund the difference. I would have never known, so that says a lot about their honesty. The home was clean and really a neat place. It is one of the more unique houses around and we really enjoyed the novelty of it. Super easy beach access, although I will warn that there really are rattle snakes inside the dunes. The house is pretty solid compared to other beach houses, you hardly feel any movement to the house. One thing I will recommend is bringing some glass cleaner. The ocean will make the windows grimey every few days and the view is worth cleaning the windows. My son accidently left his phone there and they called to let me know and are shipping it back to me. Thank you BRS for making our stay memorable!

We stayed at Coral Cottage - kinda chose this rental b/c it offered a beach wagon. This home offered EVERYTHING! Like not just an adorable fire pit, but tons of firewood - and fire starters. That is going the extra 2 miles ! Beach toys, boogie board, beach chairs. Inside, adorable sturdy decor. Again, EVERYTHING you need in the kitchen. Top of the line appliances. Plenty of room for family meals. Beach Resort Services is the ultimate managers. All was smooth - they let me add our pet last minute (could take her b/c there's a porch gate and a big fenced yard) Recommend 10 ot of 10. Can't wait for BRS to help of with a bigger house next summer!

We rented a beach house for an extended weekend with friends to celebrate a birthday in Oct. My first encounter with their "customer service" was when I called first thing in the morning and was rudely told to call back because "I literally just walked in the door." Really?? Since there aren't many options regarding rental agencies, I called back a couple days later and was treated with the same rudeness and assumptions we were going to have a HUGE party due to celebrating a birthday. I was told 3 times in a stern manner that if we were caught with more than 14 people at the house our deposit would not be returned. Okay, got it the first time. And this was after I communicated there would be 6 people max staying at the house. Upon arrival the floors were sandy, dishes dirty, and the windows were so cloudy we couldn't see out. We decided to use a grill but I let everyone know we had to clean it to its original state or we would be charged $25. This was stated numerous times in the paperwork. Well we cleaned the heck out of the grill, left the house cleaner than we found it and even let them know about a door knob that needed tightening. As said in an earlier review, we waited about 2 1/2 weeks before I received an email saying our deposit was going to be sent minus $25 to clean the grill. A picture was sent along with the email showing a dirty grill. The picture depicted this one on a deck and had chicken bits on the grate. Ours was on the concrete pad underneath the house and we grilled steak. Sorry not ours. I ended up speaking with the manager who was very rude and said "her maids don't lie." Uh huh. Sounds like a scam to me. After arguing with the manager for 20 minutes she finally said she would speak with the owner and get back to me. In this case we were refunded our $25, but the effort and frustration to get that $25 caused me to write this negative review. IF you rent from this company, take pictures of how the house and grill look when you check in and check out to cover you bottom! They DO NOT believe the customer is...

Rented a home with them from August 3-10th, 2015. Upon arrival the property we stayed at was dirty, garbage was still in the garbage cans, and sand was throughout the home. The house was fine, and the stay was enjoyable. Following our stay, three weeks went by without Beach Resort Services returning our deposit, despite multiple messages left. When they finally contacted us, we were told that we would forfeit a portion of our deposit for "not cleaning out the BBQ". We had brought our own trailer pit, so did not use the homes bbq, so I assumed there was some mix up and called Beach Resort Services. I explained that we had not used the BBQ and I was asked if I had taken a picture of the dirty BBQ upon arrival. I explained that I had not used the BBQ, so I was not aware that it was dirty. Again, they told me that I should have opened the BBQ to make sure it was clean. She stated that the cleaning company mailed them a picture of the BBQ and it was dirty. They emailed the picture. I expressed my dissatisfaction and assured them that we did not use the BBQ and requested to speak to a supervisor. At this point, the woman that answered the phone said "Im not going to get into a he said she said with you" and hung up the phone. I attempted to call back and no one answered the phone. I emailed the company and never heard back from them. While I can not attest to the state of the BBQ, because we never opened it, it has been three weeks since we left and they could have taken that picture after any renter's stay. It was frustrating to deal with them and I am not satisfied with the way they treat their customers. The amount of money that was spent to stay at this property does not dignify the rudeness that was experienced.

I would not recommend Beach Resort...
