Surfside Beach RV Park — Local services in Surfside Beach

Me and my family have had multiple stays at this park and loved its location to the beach and staff. This last go around has not been pleasant at all. Although we originally made reservations last July, we have had multiple hurdles that have arrived from out of country incidents and someone not making back to the states in time to deaths on all sides. We have rescheduled 3 times trying to keep everything aligned. I was told that we had a year to complete the reservation or cancel for a 50% refund. We rescheduled to November and once again one of these previous mentioned hurdles came up. We rescheduled to June 9th and was confirmed on November 7th... Now that this time has arrived we are being told that our reservations were removed around the end of November and they can not do anything about it because reservations can not go past 6 months. I understand rules, however if I was told 6 months in the beginning I would have taken my 50% loss and went on. So now I'm out 100% because they canceled my reservations without a phone call or an email weeks after rescheduling me to June 9th. I would have understood even trying to work out an adjusted price with me, but the lady on the phone simply said sorry but no. The last time I was at this park they were super friendly! I have lived here going on 2 years. It's been a great place for my children and I over the months. Ms. Sonya our park host has gone above and beyond in making sure that my family is comfortable. Being a single mother on your own is hard enough. She even helped me move when a spot became available that I had my heart set on. She always has a very positive attitude and will work with you if a problem arises. She has never once made me feel uncomfortable or scared. When I lost my job she even found work for me. My kids think she's been apart of our family for years. My favorite thing is how quite it gets at night. It's peaceful and close to the beach. The owner Mr. Paras is a delight. He is very understanding and worked with me while I started my life here. Very friendly environment and warm atmosphere! Best RV park around hands down and best park host ever!!! first of all the 2 other reviews, one is from when previous owner had park and the other is not even for this park. So there is a new owner and a new manager, both are bad. When we were there she would walk around with a beer in her hand complaining to people staying there about what they were doing wrong. When something does not go her way she pulls out these rules and says they are not responsible. The dumpster overflows and no one picks up the trash blowing around. The manager does nothing as far as I could see except complain. When we got there, there was trash all over our site and we had to pick it up and put it in the dumpster, guess that's not her job either. no bathrooms, no laundry, wifi does not work most of the time, free cable but most the channels do not come in very well.
