Fishful Thinking Cabin — Hotel in Talking Rock

Looking for a peaceful, cozy, and comfortable cabin getaway? Look no further, this cabin is absolutely fantastic! I traveled to Cherry Log with my husband, 2 year old, and dog. This cabin was truly perfect. They really thought of EVERYTHING when designing this place. It’s location is nestled into the mountains yet very convenient to all of the downtown attractions. The floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outdoors right inside. The firepit area was such a fun spot to hang out at night over a fire with a glass of wine – and when it got cold, the indoor fireplace was the perfect spot to retreat to. And the front porch rocker was perfect for my morning cup of coffee. Inside the cabin, the kitchen could not be better equipped – even with spices! We cooked almost every meal there and had everything we could have needed. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. They even had phone chargers in every room which was just so handy and unexpected. When I say they thought of everything – they really did. The décor and theme flows perfectly throughout the cabin giving it a really cozy vibe. We absolutely loved our stay at Fishful Thinking! The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had that perfect cozy mountain feel without sacrificing comfort. The view from the deck was stunning, and we loved listening to the sounds of nature while grilling our dinner. Everything we needed was provided, from a well-stocked kitchen to comfy beds and extra blankets. They even had charging stations, family games, and speakers to connect to throughout!

The location is perfect tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful, but just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Ellijay, and even Helen for a day trip. We enjoyed the hammock, the fire pit, and the little details that made it feel like home. You can tell the owners put a lot of care into making sure guests feel welcome.
