We recently visited Cherry Log, Georgia and of course had to find every hole in the wall restaurant we could. A quick Google search highly recommended that we visit the Pink Pig, and after visiting not once, but twice, I 100% agree! A couple of items that we ordered were the Kiley's special (BBQ quesadilla with pork, mushrooms, pepper onions, and cheese) and SJs brisket tacos. Living in the South my entire life, I have eaten at numerous barbecue joints. This, hands down, was the most delicious and creative assemblage of pork I've ever tasted in my life! We were so enamored with this place that the second time we visited, we purchased shirts, stickers, and a jar of their homemade barbecue sauce (highly recommend the vinegar-based option), with absolutely 0% buyers remorse! They have really cool hats too. We didn't sit down to eat (COVID precautions on our part), but I did peek in at the seating area which is very kitchy and themed in such an original way that I've never seen. The staff is also incredibly friendly and welcoming to ALL its guests, including crazy tourists like our family! If you are ANYWHERE near Cherry Log, GA, do yourself a favor and swing by the Pink Pig for the best barbecue you will ever eat!

The Pink Pig is a nice little spot off the beaten path of HWY 76 in Cherry Log (between Ellijay and Blue Ridge). When you first walk in, the place has a bit of a country store feel to it as they sell assorted trinkets, souvenirs, and scoops of ice cream behind the counter. Beware that while the dining space is small, there is rarely a wait (I've never experience one anyway). The waitstaff are friendly and make you feel right at home. The brisket is lean and flavorful, especially when combined with the vinegar BBQ sauce that they make. My family of four had the brisket plate, and three portions of the sliders which included both brisket and the pork and none of them disappointed. The only thing I didn't care for, honestly, was the baked beans. Both of my kids had the macaroni and cheese and loved it and my wife didn't complain about the cole slaw either. Our tab was around $55 and that included 4 entrees + 4 drinks + 2 desserts (still can't get either kid to try the cobbler), so everything was reasonably priced. Needless to say, we look forward to being back the next time we're in town.

We were here last year when we came up here from Florida and we've been waiting to eat when we came back up here to the Blue Ridge/Cherry Log area of North Georgia. Nothing has changed, the food is still fantastic as before. My wife got the fried chicken with sweet potato fries and the got the 3 meat platter w/ brisket, pulled pork and ribs, okra and southern style green beans. For dessert we got a black berry cobbler and she got a peach cobbler. Absolutely to die for. They have they're own sauces that are fantastic which they also sell for $5. The vinegar based sauce is my personal favorite. I highly recommend the Pink Pig if you're up in the area you won't be disappointed. We will be back when we're up here again, although unfortunately it might be awhile.

If you’re looking for real deal, old-school barbecue, this place absolutely delivers. Nothing fancy, no weird twists—just straight-up smoked meats done right.

The brisket was unreal—super tender with that perfect smoky bark. Ribs? Fall-off-the-bone, messy, and delicious. The pulled pork had that slow-cooked flavor that lets you know they’re doing it the hard (and best) way. Toss it on a bun with a little slaw? Game over.

Sides were just as good. The mac and cheese is creamy comfort food at its finest, the baked beans had that sweet-smoky thing going on, and the cornbread? Soft, warm, and just enough sweetness to make you go back for seconds (or thirds, no judgment).

The vibe inside is super chill. Picnic tables, maybe some country tunes in the background, and the kind of friendly staff that treats you like a regular even if it’s your first time. It feels like a backyard cookout but better—because you don’t have to do the dishes.

Honestly, it’s the kind of spot you keep thinking about long after you’ve left. Nothing pretentious, just solid BBQ that hits the spot every single time.

5/5 – Would eat here every weekend if I could. Pro tip: Get the brisket and save room for banana pudding if...

Decided to give this place a go after a quick google search for BBQ places near Helen turned them up, and we were not disappointed.

Went out here for my birthday and ordered a bit of everything. Got the sampler platter with 3 meats, 2 sides. Got fried pickles. Tried to order the bologna burnt ends, and they were out. We were unable to try the turkey as it wasn't ready, nor was the Mac and cheese.

The pulled pork was delicious, as were the ribs. The smoked sausage was just that smoked sausage. Nothing really made it stand out. The brisket, though, THE BRISKET! Star of the show hands down. This will be what I get anytime I return to this little place.

The fries were good. Very good flavor and came out crispy. The other side we got was potato salad. the only complaint is it could've used a bit more mustard, but I understand that's personal preference.

We did not receive texas toast with our order as was outlined in the sampler.

The sweet BBQ and the mustard based were the two best sauces. The tangy sauce was...not for us. The taste wss quite unpleasant.

Seating both inside and outside. So it's preference. Picnic table style tables.

Overall, we will definitely be back. The brisket is...
