We recently hosted a welcome dinner and BBQ for 140 guests to kick off a wedding weekend in Tamworth—and we truly cannot say enough positive things about our experience with The Farm Stand and our incredible hosts, Kimball and Nyessa Packard.
First and foremost, the food was absolutely amazing. From the pulled pork and chicken to the baked beans, cornbread, and desserts—everything was delicious. We're a family of foodies (and not easily impressed), yet every single guest was blown away by the variety, quality, and flavor. We received endless compliments all night long.
Then there's the location—so charming and picturesque! Four different groups of our guests stayed at the on-site farmhouse B&B and couldn’t stop raving about the beautiful rooms, the incredible breakfasts, and, of course, their warm and welcoming hosts. Kimball and Nyessa are just genuinely kind, thoughtful people who clearly love what they do—and it shows.
The barn itself added the perfect touch of New England charm, which all of our out-of-town guests absolutely loved. Despite the size of our event, the Packards brought in a few extra staff members who were just as wonderful—attentive, helpful, and kind.
All in all, it was the perfect way to begin a celebration-filled wedding weekend. We truly couldn’t have found a better place—or better people—to host this event. We’re deeply grateful to Kimball and Nyessa for their attention to detail and for making everyone feel so...
Read moreWe two couples visited The Farmstead B+B and hosts, my friend Neysa and husband Kimball for two nights just at the beginning of our beautiful foliage season here in NH. It's the perfect place to enjoy a couple of road trips in the area as well as comfortable, homey accommodations. We were welcomed with a tour of The Barn music venue, cider house and surrounding gardens with lots of history about the property. Check out their concert listings! The house overlooks the river and is up on a small hill, so that the front porch (just lovely for breakfast and coffee in the morning)over looks the river and a historical wooden dam across the street. We walked over to the dam and park to enjoy that area and it's history. We walked the gardens and had fun watching the chickens and some cows that live next door. So relaxing. The three rooms upstairs are very comfortable and share a bath and there is also a second bath off the downstairs living room(with great art, music and history books, games, puzzles and cards) Neysa and Kimball prepared great breakfasts(homemade jams and their own maple syrup) and cookies(gluten free and yummy) for us. Any questions you have or local recommendations you need, just ask.|We enjoyed very much! Thanks Neysa...
Read moreKimball and Neysa are fabulous. We had both a barbecue dinner and a brunch catered by Kimball and his team during our wedding weekend. Their business is just down the road from our venue and they frequently cater events there, so they were more knowledgeable than we were about where to set up, what they needed from the kitchens, and various tiny details. The food is all AMAZING. Everything was made with super local ingredients and they use compostable plates and utensils, which I loved. I’m still thinking about the baked beans and gouda mac & cheese, specifically, but all the food was delicious! Kimball was so understanding and flexible with a lot of dietary restrictions as well, which was so appreciated. Our gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian friend was incredibly touched that she could fill a whole plate with delicious food for once at an event! We required all our adult guests to be vaccinated to attend, and were grateful that Kimball and Neysa are both also vaccinated and taking precautions in this scary time. They and their family/staff are all incredibly kind and wonderful to work with at every step of the process. 100% would recommend hiring...
