We didn't stay here, just passing through. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by Linda, the owner, who is so sweet and friendly. She walked with us to their Antique store which is connected to their Hotel business. She shared the story behind how her and her husband, Russ purchased it in 1991 and have owned it ever since. Linda brought is upstairs after we left the Antique store and showed us her Husband's Library. Wow, is all that I can say!! Quite an extensive collection. You'll have to go stay with them to check it out first hand. There is much pride taken in his collection/available for purchase. Russ took over the tour from Linda and showed us his Craftmanship in some of the rooms he had newly remodeled. Great work, Russ! We ended our tour by shaking his hand and telling him that we'd be back, to stay, next time. The town of Terry, Montana is quaint and full of kind people...
Btw The Kempton is on the Historical registry. And also may or may not have some spirit or energies that...
Read moreWhen I stayed here , the people were nice and stuff. But the hotel had a creepy, vintage feel to it. This is a very old rustic historic building. Built a long time ago, I assume. It was some what cozy, if you like feeling creeped out too. The shower did not work at all when trying to adjust temp, honestly, it needs a revamped, modernized touch before it will be a big hit. I felt like it was haunted and eerie. And more likes haunted house museum than a cozy hotel. But it's really not that bad if that's the only option you have. Sorry for the oddball review kempton,, but it's how I felt when I stayed. The vintage was cool about it, but the rest, way to old and out dated. I can sincerely say, if that hotel got a revamped everything , updated rooms and an actual breakfast area, buisiness would be booming and maybe embracing the creepy haunting about it will...
Read moreContacted the hotel over a month before my planned stay to cancel and spoke to Linda. I had to cancel due to a change in route. She stated she would cancel with no penalty. I just checked my credit card and lo and behold there is the room charge. I had to call and be screamed at by the owner in spite of their mistake. They claim they have refunded now but refused to provide a confirmation so I cannot feel confident that they have given they already promised to do this once before and didn’t follow through. The owner shamed me for asking for the refund claiming it’s only a couple dollars what’s the big deal (124 dollars and also if it isn’t a big deal why not refund it?) I would avoid providing credit card information or maybe using one of the booking engines will offer more protection. Not a very professional organization so credit card and personal info...
