Prairie County Museum & Evelyn Cameron Gallery — Local services in Terry

The Evelyn Cameron Gallery is a must stop if you live in the area or are driving through. It’s been on my list since I saw the sign when I was driving back to western Montana from work in Glendive. I ended up picking up a book about Cameron and reading it before I visited. I now live in Glendive and will visit again! A woman working there also gave us a ton of great recommendations on other places to visit in the area. She even offered to take our family’s picture, which was so sweet!

The museum itself is also very cool, some parts aren’t super well organized right now but volunteers are hard at work. There is a lot to see, including nightmare inducing mannequins which seem to be common to many...

Closed after labor day but when we went to the store the lady said just call the number on the door and someone will come open it for you. They did! Good, historical little museum. Gentleman was very informative. Also toured the Evelyn Cameron gallery. Awesome pioneer pics. Great walk through history of rural Montana. Very friendly town! A couple of cute shops. Worth the visit if you are interested in history. Agates and Montana sapphires in local shop....
