Arrived 07/15/2023 just as a thunderstorm was letting loose. No covered parking, but to be expected at small type hotel. Had not been in our first room 10 minutes before noticing a small drip coming from the ceiling, dripping right behind the tv (we were on the ground floor). Also noticed no room phone, so went over to the office to advise manager of the problem, & he moved us over a couple of rooms. By the time I got back, the leak had transitioned from a steady drip, to water coming down from the ceiling over about a 4-5 foot seam out toward the center of the room. Our second room did not leak, but did have dead bugs all over under the beds & some live ones still crawling around. Wife requested fresh sheets, but the guy that showed up brought one sheet only, & there was a severe language barrier. Was told there were no fresh pillow cases which was interesting for a hotel. In the shower bath, there was great water pressure, but the left/hot knob fell off as there was no screw. Overall a sad excuse to rent out rooms like these. The grounds had litter/trash all around, & I noticed the next morning the pool was full of green algae, but at least they did have a sign showing the pool was closed. The view of surrounding area seemed nice & was cool from the night rain storm. The sign for the hotel had two sides, but one side had fallen out & lay on the ground nearby. Was very surprised to see a AAA approved sign out front, considering what was clearly a below standards hotel. Granted that Tombstone is a small town, really surprised at the problems here, & will never stay there again & it would have been a better idea to go back north to Tucson for a quality room. Checked out 07/16/2023, & skipped the free breakfast, so no idea what it...

We arrived approximately 12:30 p.m. checked in went to the room wanted to make sure everything was in working condition and it wasn't. Is this also not a pet friendly hotel/ Motel you're not allowed to leave your pets in the room for any period of time. The TV did not work the air conditioner does not cool off the room even after 3 hours and the refrigerator froze up so food and drinks did not stay cold so my fiance went to the office the young manager was there told him about the TV he said he would be up to fix it 45 minutes later he's a no-show. He went back down to the office and there was an elderly manager he said the younger manager had went to lunch so they totally ignored our request and he said said he would be up 45 minutes he did not show. So my fiance went back down to the office couldn't find the elderly gentleman and he told him that we were hungry we wanted to go eat lunch but wanted to leave our pet in the room that we would be back in a couple hours the elderly manager said no pets are not allowed to be in the room unoccupied we thought this was a pet friendly hotel and it does say that on the website. He said he would be up to fix the TV 45 minutes later he is a no-show so I went to the office the man was very rude screaming and yelling at me wouldn't listen to me at all and said if we can't abide by the rules that we need to leave. So we left found another place to stay pet friendly and our dog was allowed to be in the room unattended. My first time just tombstone and this is the experience we had with this hotel. We also made friends with a couple at this hotel and they said their breakfast is not a hot breakfast that they had cold cereal oatmeal bread and fruit. We do not...

Okay, I will caveat this review by saying, that there are some Covid related issues that explain some of the experiences I had here at this hotel and so it is understandable. I have been to Tombstone for the last 7 years for various events. I usually stay at other places, but I wanted to stay here, as this is one of the last places I had not stayed. 1. The service at the desk as good. The people were very nice. 2. While I didn't have the made to order breakfast, I saw people who did, and it looked good. For those of us who travel a lot, it was a welcome relief for those of us who are tired of yogurt, camping oatmeal, cold cereal, and bad coffee. 3. Covid Issues - There simply wasn't enough people to manage the property. The pool was a green algae mushy pond. This was disappointing since the hotel next door has a nice pool. 4. House keeping services were strained and I understood this. 5. The parking lots were weedy, and didn't give you a lot of confidence in parking there. 6. Non-Covid - The bathrooms are aged and need to be updated. I could not turn my water off in our sink without straining. Not only is this bad for customer service, but this is a desert. You don't want to be wasting water. 6. Please enforce the no smoking rule in front of people's rooms. The smoke just goes right into the rooms. 7. The view is the best part of this hotel. It has an incredible view of the mountain range to the east of the valley. Mount Glen, etc.. Amazing. The desert is so lovely. 8. The wifi was iffy. They definitely need to work on this. Overall, I would probably not stay here again until they address some of the issues, i.e. wifi, upgrading the bathrooms, fixing the pool, cleaning up the...

Landmark Lookout Lodge has the best views in Arizona! Tombstone is a favorite of mine and we will definitely be back. I mean look at the view from my front door! Of course they are pet friendly! They also have the most beautiful artwork painted on the walls with some of Tombstones legends from history! #arizona #tombstone #hotel #dog #views

This is the 2nd time me and my family have visited this place and I’ve got to say we love it. The rates are great, the rooms are a decent size (I’m sorry as I didn’t take any pictures whilst inside the room), they’re clean...you get a tv and fridge and welcoming air-con for those hot days. The grounds are lovely and have a fire-pit where you can sit and spend time with your loved ones. The views from your room are endless...you can sit outside too to enjoy them on the balcony/walkway (it’s not a private balcony, but nevertheless it’s all around the hotel). There’s a swimming pool (the pool is definitely blue, I took the picture as the sun was going down, my camera decided to make it look green). The pool was cleaned every morning when we stayed. The hotel is 2 minutes from the tourist side of Tombstone (along the road it’s on), you really should have a car, (although you can walk it, but it’s not advisable as it can get busy and there is no path). Breakfast was the best we’ve had on this holiday, it’s free (but please do leave a tip). The staff are the kind of people you’d want to stop and have a chat with, please do too as from check in to breakfast, they’re amazing! A real plus on our family holiday...Tombstone definitely has a lot of history and stories, make this place one of yours when you visit.
