It has been years since I wanted to share feedback about a lodging experience online. I discovered Cromwell Manor Inn on Expedia when I spontaneously decided to spend a weekend at Storm King, just a short drive from the accommodations. I arrived around 8 pm after a long, rainy bus ride from Port Authority. Tory greeted me with the warmest welcome, and I instantly felt at home. He graciously took my bag and personally delivered it to my room, The Windsor, walking me through all the available amenities for my stay. Troy went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed before leaving me to the solitude I sought an hour outside the hustle and bustle of the city.

The next day, he prepared a beautiful breakfast and assisted me in planning my trip to Storm King. Although I had only booked a two-night stay, on the second day, I had the pleasure of meeting the rest of the Cromwell Manor Inn family, including the wonderful owners. Troy treated me to another delicious breakfast, and I spent the remainder of my day exploring the grounds while witnessing the team joyously decorating the beautiful estate with Christmas decorations.

Before heading back to the city, I had lunch next door at Jones Farm, following the Cromwell family's suggestion, and began planning my next stay. As a history buff, I was fascinated by the inn's history, feeling like I had been transported to another time. My room was cozy and warm, impeccably clean and well-preserved. A tour of the grounds revealed that each room was tastefully decorated.

I had forgotten how easy it is to travel to the Hudson Valley for a little respite from the Manhattan hustle and bustle. Now that I've discovered this place, I won't stay...

I recently stayed at Cromwell Manor Inn with a group of 12 and was absolutely blown away. This charming bed and breakfast is truly a hidden gem that exceeds even its already beautiful pictures. |The inn’s architecture and overall style are stunning, with every detail thoughtfully curated to create a warm, comfortable environment. It’s clear that care and passion go into maintaining this unique property, making it an ideal getaway for anyone looking to combine beauty with excellent accommodations. |I stayed in the Saffron Room, and its tasteful decoration was so inspiring that I’m planning to incorporate similar paint colors and furnishings into my own home renovation.||What made the experience even more memorable was the level of hospitality— from the moment we arrived, both the host and the owner were incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring our weekend was nothing short of perfect.||Beyond the inn, the location is fantastic. Next door is Jones Farm which offers a great lunch spot with a delicious bakery and a cute boutique, adding to the overall appeal of the area.|Just a 7 minute drive away is Painter’s Tavern, where I enjoyed what might be the best burger ever. What a gem! We were greeted by a beautiful sunset the night we arrived at this idyllic spot. Innkeeper Troy was ebullient and bent over backward to make our stay perfect, including whipping up made-to-order breakfasts each morning. We had the Oliver Cromwell suite and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. You can’t adjust the thermostat in the room but can request it be changed by text to Troy. There are also space heaters in the room. After spending the last few days in noisy Philadelphia, the peace and quiet was very appreciated. Although be warned the sun does come in from the east right into where the bed is and the white shades do not block it out (but you probably already travel with an eye mask if you are sensitive to light). The massive Jacuzzi tub is the largest we’ve seen and we had our own private parking spot for the suite. The Inn is very close to Storm King Art Center, which we were there to visit – as well as hiking Storm King Mountain on the Hudson. Highly recommend this lovely inn!

Cromwell Manor Inn in Cornwall, NY, is a cherished gem nestled in the Hudson Valley, renowned for its historic charm and exceptional hospitality. It has a warm atmosphere, beautifully maintained grounds, and attentive service by Kate. Who is a pleaser to get ro know and full of helpful suggestions! She is someone you would want to come and see and get to know. Kate is dedicated to guest comfort and enjoyment. She sets you up with everything needed for a great stay. Wonderful breakfast cooked to our specifications. The inn itself, dating back to the 1800s, offers a unique blend of historical elegance and modern comfort. The rooms are cozy with a touch of modern appeal. The property is charming and offers sights and sounds that are peaceful and tranquil. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a peaceful retreat, or a base to explore nearby attractions like Storm King Art Center and West Point, Cromwell Manor Inn provides an unforgettable experience marked by genuine hospitality and timeless charm.

We just returned from a restorative and transformative stay at the Cromwell Manor Inn! The rooms are very comfortable and inviting. They are tastefully decorated with antique furniture. The building has lovely common rooms, including a lounge, coffee and tea bar, and a grand dining room that looks out over the beautifully landscaped gardens. The location is fabulous—very close to Storm King Art Center and many restaurants. What made our stay truly special was the wonderful care we received from the innkeeper and staff. They went out of their way to welcome us and considerately accommodated our dietary requests for the home-cooked breakfast (just let them know a few days before your arrival). We are vegan and were delighted to start the mornings with avocado toast with fresh tomatoes and herbs, a bowl of oatmeal brimming with fresh fruits, and home-made vegan blueberry pancakes! I hope we are able to return again soon and would highly recommend the inn to anyone looking for a special getaway!
