Small clean, quaint campground less than 5mins. From Six Flags Darien Lake. When you pull into the parking lot you'll notice that you can see the amusement park from the top of the hill which makes for a quick easy drive to the park for the day to enjoy rides or at night for concerts. The proximity can also be a downfall however as the music from the park is very loud at the campground and can end late at night. The check-in building also contains a small store which seems to have just about small item you may have forgotten at home. You can also purchase wood on site for $8 a crate or $20 for 3 crates or along the road many places nearby for sround $5 a bundle.||There are a decent number of campsites on the property including tent and RV however the tent sites don't include electricity or water as an option. If you need water it is located at the bathrooms. The tent site I was in was very nice as it was quite secluded because it was surrounded by trees but the next campsite over was just on the other side of the trees which could be a problem with noise at night depending on how late people stay up although there are rules about quiet hours. The sides that are more open however are right on top of each with very little separation, privacy or space with your neighbors. The size of the some of the sites led me to believe you wouldn't be able to fit more than a single small tent on it. All of the sites include a nice firepit and picnic table and many even have gravel parking areas. The RV sites seem spacious and easy enough to pull in and out of and there are lean-tos available as well which looked very nice from the outside.||The area for the bathroom contained 6 private bathroom with the shower and toilet located in the same stall. I'm not sure if this would be an issue if the campground were packed. The showers were free which in my experience is a rarity and had great water pressure and hot water, more like you were showering at home. They also had a nice wooden bench in the shower and plenty of space to set your items on shelves in the bathroom. The sinks also had space around them to set your items down. Outside the bathroom there is a farmhouse sink if you need it and a coin operated washer and dryer. You also have a microwave, drink vending machine and small garbage and recycling can available for use.||The campground is nice and flat, very clean and well groomed with plently of grass and many flowers that have planted all around. Many campsites also have solar along the road as well. They also have some outdoor activities including a nice pond, grills...
Read moreMy wife and I recently embarked on a short getaway, combining our love for shopping and camping, and we stumbled upon a true hidden gem—Cherry Hill Campground. Located conveniently just a stone's throw from the border, this charming spot exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived on July 25 for a two-night stay, we were greeted by the warm hospitality of the owners, Gretchen and Hub. Their eagerness to please and hands-on approach truly sets this campground apart. The manicured lawns and well-kept sites reflect the care and dedication they put into maintaining the grounds. Every interaction with the friendly staff enhanced our experience, making us feel right at home. Our selected site, #18, was a sanctuary of seclusion and space. It was impeccably clean, allowing us to fully relax without the anxiety that sometimes accompanies camping. The little touches around the campground—such as delightful decor and bird feeders by the washrooms feeding a variety of different birds and well-maintained amenities—added to its charm. The washrooms were pristine, and the hot showers were a luxurious delight after a day of adventure. Speaking of adventure, Cherry Hill Campground offers an impressive array of activities including Horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, soccer nets to name a few. The large pond, with its variety of free watercraft, provided a perfect opportunity for relaxation on the water. Moreover, the onsite chickens and goats were an unexpected but delightful addition; interacting with them provided a fun, rustic charm that truly enhances the camping experience. Overall, our time at Cherry Hill Campground was nothing short of amazing. This quaint site met our every need while impressing us with its beauty and amenities. We left feeling rejuvenated and excited to return to this peaceful retreat. If you are looking for a place that combines friendly service, clean facilities, and a wealth of activities, look no further. Cherry Hill Campground is the perfect destination for your next camping adventure! Thank you Gretchen, Hub and staff. See you soon. The Griffins...
Read moreMy husband and I had an amazing stay at Cherry Hill last week visiting from Toronto! Gretchen was SO incredibly kind, and we felt so welcomed. This would be a great place for couples, friends, and families.
Upon arrival you get to choose your sight, we choose sight EIGHT and it was perfect for us! It was extremely spacious and very private. I would highly recommend. Do note that if you choose number 8, you cannot pull your car fully into the spot (it's a very short walk)
BATHROOMS: clean, no spider webs, always had soap and paper towel, showers are private and clean, short walk from all sights there is also a washer and dryer onsite
CAMPSITE: (speaking n number 8) clean, spacious, private, lush with trees, far enough from other campers, has table and fire dishwashing stations around the campsite made larger messes very easy to clean they take good care of the garbages in the and outside, we noticed that there were no pests around and no bees swarming the trash
LOCATION: was perfect for us, as we were visiting to go to a musical festival at Six Flags, about a 3 minute drive not very close to many stores or restaurants, be prepared to drive about 20-30 minutes for larger chain restaurants and grocery stores, Walmart, etc. you CAN hear Six Flags from the campsite (it's right beside it lol) so we did hear people screaming on rides in the distance, we could also hear the concerts happening at night so keep that in mind if you want complete silence!!
CAMPFIRE: good size, wood can be purchased at the Cherry Hill store for $8 per basket I believe (there's a little store with some essentials in it)
SIX FLAGS: parking at Six Flags is $25/day and you CAN'T enter on foot - you must drive, we had a good time and they were very chill about us leaving and coming back
All and all we just loved it at Cherry Hill, and hope to...
